APRIL 2021

20– Tuesday

Finally, this day has come. For years I’ve been waiting to be part of this year level that actually
teaches learners. But unfortunately, because of the on-going cases of the covid-19 pandemic, it
is impossible for me to teach the learners personally. I am still hoping to teach those learners in
actual. But anyways, this day is the start of our 2 nd semester for practice teachers. We are still
using online mode of instruction like zoom and messenger. Even though we are not seeing each
other in direct, it is still fun to have classes online. We discussed about the responsibilities of
being a practice teacher, code of ethics of a professional teacher and the joint memo of the
DepEd and CHED for the deployment of the interns. I’ve also learned lot of lessons for the
responsibilities as practice teacher. So, we ended our class using online instruction and I’m still
hoping to learn more and teach the learners at the UEPLAB School.

21 – Wednesday

On this day, we did not meet but our course professor gave us an assignment. She also gave us
the all the requirements to comply as a practice teacher. When I saw the requirements, I felt
nervous at the same time excitement. And prayed that I can accomplish all the requirements
for this will lead me to graduation which I am focusing now to achieve.

22 – Thursday

This day, we are supposed to meet at 9 in the morning via zoom but it is rescheduled to 2 pm
for our professor has a webinar. In the meeting, we further discussed the duties and
responsibilities of a practice teacher. Based on our discussion, I learned that as a practice
teacher, I have lot of responsibilities, not just to complete the required requirements but also
to act as a professional teacher. I’ve been thinking about this and reflect and also question
myself “Can I, do it? Can I survive this wave of challenges?” That’s the first thing that comes to
my mind, but instead of letting myself down, I’ve decided to make that challenges a motivation
for me to achieve one step of my goal in life.

23 – Friday

Code of Ethics of a Professional Teacher. This is the topic that our course professor gave to us. I
have already read this Code of Ethics and found out that being a professional teacher is not an
easy task. Being a teacher has a lot of responsibilities. Based on what I have read, a professional
teacher has a lot of DO’s and DON’T’S. A professional teacher must be active in all time not just
inside the school but also, they should be active in the community. I am now expecting these
things to come for my goal is to become one of our beloved professional teachers someday. So,
I must be prepared and start to act as a professional teacher
24 & 25 – Saturday and Sunday

We were supposed to meet on these days for us to finish this semester. Our course professor
told us that we will also meet in the weekends. We did not meet because our course professor
is busy preparing us to engage to a new normal practice teaching. And speaking of this, I was
nervous at the same time excited to experience this kind of method. I know that it is helpful for
me someday as a future educator.

26 – Monday

On this day, we also did not meet or received an update but I know our course professor is busy
preparing us practice teachers. I just reread the code of ethics of a professional teacher and
learn another important role as a teacher which to be active in the community and avoid
gambling and vices. According to what I’ve read, a professional teacher must be a role model
for everyone. I am a future educator; I should start practicing this code of ethics of a
professional teacher.

27 – Tuesday

This day, our course professor updated us that we have now a Facebook page for the practice
teachers. Any updates regarding our course will be posted there. I am just glad how technology
nowadays helps us. Not just for entertainment but almost in our daily jobs. Having enough
knowledge of how to use this modern technology is also a huge help for us future educators.
The world is changing with technology so as a future teacher, I must also change and adjust for
the world for me to be globally competent individual someday.

28 – Wednesday

I learn something very helpful for me on this day. Our course professor gave us a module that
explains the Explicit Lesson Plan and 4A’s method and their parts. It is clear for me now that
both methods are effective in teaching. 4A’s method is like inductive method, it is more
discovery learning, connecting prior knowledge and analysis of the what’s going to be the topic
before presenting the new topic, in short it more like constructivist method. On the other hand,
Explicit Lesson Planning is a CLEAR INSTRUCTION. It is a deductive method, where the teacher
will present and discuss the topic first before giving an activity. For me each method is effective.
They said “There is no best method” and I agree for the best method for me is any kind of
instruction that will lead to effective learning to my learners someday. Whether it is Explicit or
4A’s, it just depends on how would I deliver and present these methods. The important thing
here is the learners; I’ll use any kinds of methods in the future for them to learn effectively.

29 – Thursday
I’ve seen lot of teachers. Some of them are great and some are not. Although we did not meet
today, I will just reflect on the task of being a teacher. As a teacher for me has a big pail to fill,
based on my observation a teacher is always busy doing different kind of tasks. As a teacher
they are always a role model for everybody not just for the learners. Being a teacher is not an
easy task. But what I’m proud of our beloved teacher, they still have time to smile, to joke
around and find happiness even of all the works they’ve done. Teachers are also human and
they deserve to find happiness and pleasure. To my past and current teachers, I’m proud of
you. Based on my observations, Teaching is indeed a noble profession.

30 – Friday

Our course professor requested us to answer a survey about the preparedness of pre-service
teachers. What is the purpose of a survey? For me it is to collect data to improve/adjust
something. As a future educator, I know I will encounter something like a survey. Just like my
past teacher said, “While you’re teaching, you’re also learning from your students.” Based on
what I’ve observed, teaching is just like a survey, you’re observing the reactions/response of
your students and changing strategies for them to learn effectively. As future educator I must
be a keen observer so that I can be familiar with my learners someday and change/adjust
myself for them.

MAY 2021

1 – Saturday

We did not have our class for today but I wanted to reflect about the one of the most important
duties and responsibilities of a practice teacher. It is following the rules and regulations as a
practice teacher. For me as a practice teacher following the rules and duties will have a positive
result in the future, well not just as a practice teacher but as individual also. Following rules and
duties will lessen frustrations and be more on a well-organized situation. But some instances
we have to think outside the box and not follow the rules as long as you’re certain that your
decision is right for you and everyone. But if you really want to achieve something, follow the
rules while thinking outside the box. Be wise in every decision and help yourself first because
the only thing we can do to achieve our goals is putting the priority of helping ourselves first,
and that’s a fact nowadays.

2 – Sunday

Today, I was not able to attend our Google meeting for a personal reason. But I asked my fellow
classmates what they’ve discussed and I will just reflect on it. They’ve further discussed the
code of ethics of a professional teacher. As I read the code of ethics of a professional teacher, in
the ARTICLE XI (THE TEACHER AS A PERSON) Section 1 it said that “A teacher is, above all, a
human being endowed with life for which it is the highest obligation to live with dignity at all
times whether in school, in the home, or elsewhere.” Imagine that as a professional teacher,
they are living their code of ethics. In the said section, they must act professionally at all times.
They are carrying the reputation as of all teachers, whether they are in the mood for the
situation or not, they must act professionally. One mistake could affect their fellow teachers.
SoI salute all the professional teachers that exist. Teaching is a noble profession and as a
learner and future educator, I respect all professional teachers.

3 – Monday

Our course professor gave us the Schedule of Pre-Service Teacher’s Orientation. We will meet
via Google Meet in the said orientation. This is it! One of the first steps to Pre-Service Teaching,
I’m excited to meet our cooperating teachers at the same time nervous especially when I saw
the subject MOTHER TONGUE for NinorteSamarnon/Warayis not my first language. For this I
am excited to meet and listen to the cooperating teacher who will discuss this subject for us. I
am excited and nervous in the upcoming orientation. In the said meeting, they will help us how
to handle subject and will give us some tips how teach the learners and more. Even though
NinorteSamarnon/Waray is not my first language, I must adopt and adjust myself for I am a
future educator. A professional teacher is flexible in any kind situation. I must be a flexible
individual for that is what a professional teacher.

4 – Tuesday

This day we did meet via Google Meet and our course professor discussed about the upcoming
orientation in May 6. We discussed also about some articles and sections of the code of ethics
of a professional teacher. We discussed the Article IX and X which talks about the “A Teacher
and the Profession” and “The Teachers and the Profession.” As a professional teacher they are
burdened with their responsibilities that are said in the Article IX and X. As an individual we
must respect our beloved educators that exist. Their job is the noblest profession of all, that it
means sacrifice, hard work and commitment. And as a future educator I must now start
applying this code of ethics of a professional teacher in my daily living, even though I still don’t
have the license of a professional teacher. To become a teacher or not, I will apply some of the
code of ethics of a professional teacher.

5 – Wednesday

Today, our course professor discussed about the parts of a 4A’s Lesson Plan and Explicit Lesson
Plan. Although our course professor already gave us a sample of these lesson plans, it is still
better to discuss the topic. First our course professor discussed each part of the 4A’s Lesson
plan. Aside from my insights about 4A’s lesson plan, I have acquired new knowledge and
strategies on how to teach using 4A’s lesson plan. A lot of thanks to our course professor for
discussing each part of the 4A’s lesson plan properly. The questions inside my head about the
particular parts of the 4A’s lesson plan like what to do in that part we’re answered after the
discussion. We didn’t have enough time to discuss more about the Explicit Lesson Planning and
its part of it so we ended our lesson there.
6 – Thursday
This day is the first day of our Pre-Service Teacher orientation via Google Meet. They taught us
tips and how to handle or teach a certain subject. I learned a lot also learned a lot of how to
execute or what to do in that part of a lesson plan. We discussed about science and
Filipinosubject, we also have there our cooperating teacher as well as our beloved course
professor. We discussed about different kinds of lesson planning, like Explicit, 4A’s and also
5E’s. The method of lesson planning is depending what grade level you’re going to teaching.
Like for primary grades, you will use the explicit lesson plan and that is recommended also by
our course professor. For grades 4,5 and 6 you will use 4A’s method. Also, in science they use
5E’s lesson planning in primary grades. The parts of a lesson plan also be interchange
depending on your strategy and method. As I conclude, we can use any kinds of lesson plan
method as long as your leaners attained the learning outcome/s of your lesson.

7 – Friday

On this day, we have the continuation of our Pre-Service Teacher Orientation via Google Meet.
The subjects we discussed on this day along with our course professor and cooperating
teachers are HELE, Computer, English and Literature. I’ve learned a lot from this orientation. In
computer subject the cooperating teacher gave us tips how to teach the subject like teaching
the learners something new and creative every day, always remain them busy and the most
important tips I learned from him is “Teach less but teach the Best.” In the other hand in HELE, I
also learned that in teaching a subject, I must have the word “Congruency and Consistency” in
my lesson plan. Applying the SMART method in my lesson plan. Meanwhile in the English
subject, I learned the most important tips from our cooperating teacher which is to be an
effective and efficient teacher. Being efficient by doing things right and favorite one which is to
be an effective teacher which means doing the right things like doing what’s best. But it is more
effective if I do those two starting now.

8 & 9 – Saturday and Sunday

On these days, we did not meet. But I want to reflect the methods that our cooperating teacher
gave us from our orientation. There different kinds of methods to use in making lesson plan.
I’ve learned forms of lesson plan like 4A’s, Explicit and 5E’s. Each of the lesson plans I’ve
mentioned have their own parts and differences but one goal. To make the learners attain the
objectives of the certain lesson plan. They have the goal to make the learners learn the lesson.
Our course professors used their lesson plan depending on the grade level they are teaching.
They recommend to use those forms of lesson plan in a particular grade level. But for me we
can use any form of lesson plan as long as the learners attained the lesson objective and
learned the lesson. But I agree with our course professor for they have the experience in
teaching the learners and most of all the are all professional teachers.

10 – Monday
I was not able to attend the Google Meeting this day for I have gone to the school UEPLES to
have some reference of my assigned objectives. The meeting is supposed to start at 7 AM and
Ends in 9 AM. But it started at 10 and in that time I’m already traveling. When I got to the
school UEPLES, the teachers in there are very approachable and kind. They helped me check my
finished lesson plans and wrote some corrections. Also, they helped me in finding my topic to
the reference book in my assigned objectives. And I observed that even though they are busy of
their school works, they have still time to talk to and help and us in our needed references and
more. I was also motivated when I saw the school full of books and instructional materials. I
saw the black board, the chairs of the pupils and saw the whole classroom. At the same time, I
was feeling down for missing such opportunity to teach in an actual classroom. But as a future
educator, they said you have to be flexible and easy to adopt in such situation. There’s nothing
more I can do to help lessen the COVID -19 cases aside from following the safety protocols.
Hopefully soon I can teach in actual and in face-to-face classes.

11 – Tuesday

In our Google meeting today, we have more speakers than a usual meeting. We discussed
about Mother Tongue, AralingPanlipunan and the subject MAPEH. Also, the most important
discussion for me in the meeting is the Multigrade. Our cooperating teacher gave us tips and
helped us how to handle a Multigrade in the future. There’s a lot I have learned about the
meeting. Like in Mother Tongue the parts of the lesson plan are English but the execution is in
vernacular. And in Physical Education there’s an explanation with execution like the other
subjects. There’s a lot more I learned today. I am thankful to our cooperating teacher who gave
time to share their knowledge lesson planning and giving us tips on how to handle every
subject. Even though they are busy managing their school works, they still have us an easy-to-
understand presentation.

12 – Wednesday

We are supposed to have our last orientation today in the afternoon. But instead, our course
professor gave the remaining objectives for our lesson planning. We are now waiting for the
last two objectives for we have 13 objectives in all. The deadline is on Monday in May 17 so I
need to have time management in making all those lesson plans. This training of a teacher is
not an easy task, in order to accomplish the one step on my goals in life, first I need to endure
and have perseverance on this situation. As future educator we must have the factor of
patience for it will be our weapon when facing different kinds of learners in the future. Also, as
a future educator, I must have the passion to teach, the will to teach learners and love my
course/job. There’s a lot more to have as a professional teacher. So, my task as a student
teacher is to practice those inside the code of ethics as a professional teacher.

13 – Thursday
I am supposed to have a graded recitation this day through call in my other remaining subject
Fil 225 Maunladna Filipino but it is a holiday this day. Instead, I continued to work on my lesson
plans because the deadline is near. It is not easy making a lesson plan specially writing them in
paper. For me I am more confident to type or make lesson plans in a word document because I
am good at it. Not just in word document, I am also confident in my computer skills. But this the
task our course professor has given us so as a student teacher, one of my duties and
responsibilities is to follow the rules and instruction of our course professor. So, this day I just
continued my lesson plan making and ended making 3 lesson plans.

14 – Friday

Same as yesterday, I continue to work on my lesson plan making. I’m not half way in my
finished lesson plans to I need to focus more on making it. Thanks to our course professor for
giving us samples of lesson plans through messenger. I learned a lot what to remove and what
to add in the parts of my Explicit and 4A’s Lesson plans. As I observed, the lesson plan sample
that our cooperating teachers gave us are different on each other. They have different parts
and teaching strategies. Our cooperating teachers are great at making lesson plans, they their
own styles. Someday, I want to have my own class too and teach my learners passionately. But
first I just need to finish these challenges I am facing right now in order to reach my goals.

15 – Saturday

The day of the deadline of passing our lesson plan is slowly nearing. I am now finished at all
lesson plans but it is just a draft so I need to rewrite it all. Rewriting is not actually easy. One
mistake could affect the whole page of the paper. Just like teaching one, mistake of your
strategies could affect the attainment of the objectives for the pupils. So as a future educator, I
must plan with focus and relate all activities to my lessons and specially to my objectives to be
attained by the pupils. At first it is not easy making motivations and activities on lesson plans
but as I make more lesson plans, I am now getting the strategy to teach the lesson. I am now
excited what will happen next after passing our lesson plan. Are we going to do demo teaching
immediately? It depends on our course professor. I am just excited at the same time nervous.

16 – Sunday

Today is the last day of making and preparing our lesson plans. And I am finally done with all
the writing process. My hands are a bit aching but never mind that. I am just now ready for the
next challenge and that might be the demo teaching through the use of video as if we are
having a class in actual. Even though there are no learners to teach, I will still try my best in
teaching the lesson. But honestly, I am really hoping to teach pupils in actual, hoping to teach
them to boost my passion in teaching, to improve knowledge and more. But anyways, good luck
for me tomorrow for I will pass my finished lesson plans. I hope my cooperating teachers will
accept my kind of strategy in teaching and accept my finished lesson plan. That would be all for
this day, I am just happy that I’ve finish my lesson plans in all subject.
17 – Monday

Today is the day of the deadline in passing our lesson plans. I’m now excited when I woke up
early in the morning to pass my finished lesson plans. But an update popped up in our group
chat in messenger from our course professor. She gave us the chance for those who did not
finished making all the required lesson plans tomorrow. It is better for me also because I can
review and read my finished lesson plans. And then another update came after, our course
professor gave the last objectives for the remaining subject. So, I immediately work and make a
lesson plan for the last objective. I am now typing this daily reflection for I am done with my last
required lesson plan and ready to pass tomorrow. I finished immediately the last lesson plan for
I have now the knowledge and strategy how to make lesson plans and how to manage my time,
it is based on my experience working 12 lesson plans in all. I know I will learn a lot more in the
future so, I will just be ready and learn any time now.

18 – Tuesday

Today is the deadline of the submission of our required lesson plans. Finally, I have submitted
my finished lesson plans. In passing my finished lesson plans I’m nervous at the same time
excited. I’m nervous for I know I have some errors in making my lesson plans and I’m excited to
see the results and corrections of our cooperating teachers. I’m also excited to see the
corrections made by our cooperating teachers so that I can rewrite and make my lesson plan a
perfect fit for the particular subject. Now that I have passed my lesson plans, I’m just focusing
to the next challenge being as a student teacher. I’m excited for what’s coming next activities to
do in what are cooperating teachers will assign us. Making those lesson plans is not easy, it took
me time and effort and that is needed as a student teacher. As a student teacher, I need to
have the passion to teach and the will to teach for these are my weapons in the coming future.

19 – Wednesday

Today is a rest day for me but there’s an update in the group chat in messenger by our course
professor. She sent the schedule for our 2-day rotation teaching guided by our cooperating
teachers in UEPLES. And this is another challenge at the same time step in achieving my goal.
We will start in the coming Monday may 24, I wonder what’s going to be the instruction of our
cooperating teacher to us. At the same time on this day, one of my cooperating teachers in
lesson planning wanted to see me so I contacted her through messenger for my place is far
from our school. I was nervous but it is all about her corrections of my lesson plans. Instead, she
sent pictures of my corrected lesson plan and ready for rewriting. I thanked her for I have now
the clear idea of what’s going to be taught and the strategies and activities to be done in the
parts of my lesson plan. She gave me tips and corrected my errors, thanks to my cooperating
teacher for giving time to correct my lesson plan with tips and great corrections.

20 – Thursday
Today, I contacted the cooperating teacher that is assigned to me and my partner this coming
Monday. I contacted my cooperating first for my place is far from our school. Our cooperating
teacher told me that I need to go to the school in Monday and from there she will give the
instruction of what to do in this 2-day rotation teaching. As a student teacher, I am now excited
to encounter this challenge. To be honest, my hands kept on sweating every time I imagined
myself graduating to this degree. But for now, I need to focus as a student teacher. I need to
focus and do what has to be done in order to achieve one step of my goals in life. I wonder
what is going to be done in our 2-day rotation teaching in the school. But I expect that we will
support our cooperating teacher in all activities that needs our support. For now, I am also
focusing in my other subject Filipino, for this subject needs an attention while I am practice
teaching.

21 – Friday

Today, I was continuing my pre-midterm exam in my other subject aside from practice teaching.
I also need to put focus on this subject for this is also important in order for me to graduate. I
enrolled 2 courses this semester, which are Filipino and Student Teaching. I need to complete
these courses to graduate. I am this close in achieving my goal so now I need to prioritize my
schooling. I wonder what is going to happen to the covid-19 cases after I graduate. I am still
praying and hoping that everything will go back to normal specially having face to face classes.
For me, there are more advantages having face to face classes than online learning. Teachers
can help learners effectively in face to face classes rather than online learning. There are also
advantages in online learning like lessen the money spent in school because you can just attend
online learning at home. Based on what I have heard, there’s not much hiring of a teacher
nowadays. So hopefully, I am praying that someday everything will go back to normal like it
used to be.

22 – Saturday

Today, we received an update from our course professor that she will be on leave in the coming
Monday and Tuesday May 24 and 25. She also said that we also said that we have to contact
our cooperating teachers that are assigned to us for our 2-day rotation teaching before Monday
but I already did. Now I am just hoping that there will be a few corrections in my passed lesson
plans. I did my best in making those lesson plans so hopefully there will be few corrections. And
every time I imagine myself nearing to finish college, my hands are sweating and my heart is
pounding. In short I am excited to finish this degree. I imagine all my sacrifices just to achieve
this year level, but for now I must calm myself and focus on my duties and responsibilities as a
student teacher. I am nearly there, please help me God.

23 – Sunday
Today is a rest day for it is Sunday. Always remember that in all things that we do, there is our
God watching and guiding each one of us. Do not forget Him in times of trouble and struggles.
Do not put more priorities on other earthly ways and things. Yes, we do need to live as human
being in order to enjoy, process and to survive life. But always remember that this is just
temporary role for us to play and I know that you knew this already, so let us put God first in
our priorities. I know I am not also perfect for I am doing most of the earthly ways and things
but as I am typing this, I am remembering to put our God first. Especially in this moment of my
life, I need God to support me in my student teaching. I need God to give me the knowledge
and wisdom as I encounter challenges and struggles. I need God in every way or things that I
do. So please call God, chat with Him, like you chat with your friends on Social Medias. Talk to
him like He is just your Parent. Let’s give ourselves to Him, and if you are already doing this,
please do continue for God will help us in His unpredictable ways. So God, provide me strength
and more knowledge in the coming week, for we are now going to our 2-day rotation teaching.

24 – Monday

Finally, the day of our 2-day rotation teaching finally came. When coming to the UEPLES I was
feeling excited, I wonder what are the activities will be given to me by our assigned cooperating
teacher. So, when I met my cooperating teacher, she’s having her free time. She then
immediately gave me the task for me to do which is making summative test in MAPEH. It needs
to have 20 items every part of the subject MAPEH. 20 in items Music, Arts, Physical Education
and in Health. My cooperating teacher said that we need to train doing task like this because
this is going to useful in the future. But she offered me options of the task that I am going to do
while I am assigned to her, she asks if I want to make modules instead of making summative
test. I chose to make summative test for I also want to make some for the learners. So as a
student teacher, I am now prepared and motivated to do such work. I am also happy to have a
task like this for this is for the learners. Hopefully, the learners will answer my made summative
test with understanding the lesson. That’s it for today.

25 – Tuesday

Today, I did not go to the UEPLES for it my partner’s turn to meet our assigned cooperating
teacher in our 2-day rotation teaching. I am now working of my assigned task that is to make
summative test in MAPEH 20 items each part. I am also reviewing my checked lesson plans that
from the school yesterday. There are lots of corrections on my checked lesson plans, but I am
happy to have these corrections for it my guide to effective teaching someday. I spoke with
some of our cooperating teachers yesterday and discussed the errors and corrections of my
lesson plans. I am still waiting for the remaining 3 lesson plans that I submitted so I can rewrite
it all. Making lesson plans is fun and easy if you love making them, especially to the point where
you’re imagining how to deliver your lesson. But there is just a big “BUT” in making lesson
plans, you need to have the word “Perseverance and Effort.” It is fun making lesson plans but if
you do not have the extra effort, your lesson plan will not be interactive. That’s one of the
comments in one of my checked lesson plans, it is said there that I need to make my lesson plan
more interactive. Not just in lesson planning but I think you can also apply it to your life goals.

26 – Wednesday

Today, me and my partner are assigned to our second cooperating teacher in our 2-day rotation
teaching. I will assist in the morning and my partner in the afternoon because we need to avoid
more people in contact, which is according to our cooperating teacher and course professor. In
assisting our cooperating teacher, I checked the books of the students under her. She also gave
me the rubrics to base on. While I was checking, I read a lot of different kinds of answers from
the pupils, and there’s one pupil’s answers that made me smiled for his answer is so good and
unique, it is an opinion type of answer. Reading the answers of the pupils is also fun, you will
not get bored in checking the books even though there’s plenty of them. After I checked all the
assigned books to me, our cooperating teacher lets me record the scores of the pupils. The last
activity she gave me is to make a 40-item unit test in English. I am making the unit test while I
am writing this reflection; it is also a challenge for me as a student teacher. Just put extra effort
and will to do the assigned task for this is also for my future someday.

27 – Thursday

Today, I did not go to the UEPLES for it my partner’s turn to meet our assigned cooperating
teacher in our 2-day rotation teaching. I am now continuing to work on my assigned task which
is to make an 80-item summative test in MAPEH and a 40-item unit test in English. In making
these tests, I was also learning. I learned something new and added to my vocabulary. While
making this test I also understand the topic or lesson that’s why it is also challenging at the
same time fun. Tomorrow is our third shifting in our 2-day rotation teaching. We are going to
meet our third cooperating teacher and ready to make and do our upcoming task.I know these
task that are assigned to us to our cooperating teacher will also help us someday so I need to
do these tasks as best as I can. I need to apply the culture of excellence in my day-to-day

28 – Friday

We’ve met our third assigned cooperating teacher in our 2-day rotation teaching today. Now,
instead of making modules and unit test, our cooperating teacher told us to assist her in
collecting the book and modules of the multi-grade pupils. I also noticed that some pupils still
did not pass their books. It was fun assisting our cooperating teacher, after collecting the books
and modules, we’ve put the new set of books and modules to be distributed next Monday. We
will continue to assist our cooperating teacher this coming Monday in distributing the learning
materials of the pupils. I am just happy to assist our cooperating teacher this day, we’ve also
cleaned the classroom and arrange the chair, book, tables properly. That is it for today, and for
now I am just going continue to work on rewriting my lesson plan and be prepared for this
coming Monday.
29 – Saturday
Today, I was checking my checked lesson plans and thought of some new ideas to write in my
lesson plan making. Thanks to our cooperating teachers for guiding us in making an effective
lesson plan. I am now starting to rewrite my checked lesson plans. I have seen different kinds of
suggestions from our cooperating teachers to improve more our strategies in lesson planning. I
have also a finished lesson plan that really needs improvement for it has too many corrections
than I expected. I respect and thanked my cooperating teacher for guiding me how to make an
effective lesson plan. I know in the future it will help me in teaching the learners. I know deep
inside that there is a lot for me to learn, I just need to accept the corrections and make it better,
not just in lesson planning but also in my everyday living. I need to work for the future and not
dwell in the past.

30 – Sunday

Today is a rest day. I am just continuing to rewrite my checked lesson plans, I am thinking about
new strategies I can put on my lesson plans. Well, I finished 2 lesson plans today, I was
rewriting it at the same time thinking what strategy I will put have an effective lesson plan for
the learners. I also received an update from my previous assigned cooperating teacher from our
2-day rotation teaching. She said that the summative test that I made do not have answer key.
She told me to make an answer key for the summative test that I made. So, I immediately
reread the book and make some answer key. As a future educator, it is important to for us to
know the answers to our made questions, do not just pretend to know the answer and more
importantly, do not just make questions and give it to the learners when you don’t even know
the answer. I am reminded of this again for I forgot to make an answer key to my summative
test in MAPEH 6. As a future teacher, I have to know my lessons, not just know but master the
lesson in order for us to have the knowledge whenever we are asked with questions by our
learners. That would be all for today, I am just going to be ready for tomorrow’s activity.

31 – Monday

Today, I went to UEPLES for our 2nd day in our current assigned grade level. We already
prepared the learning materials for the learners last Friday. We’ve assisted some
parent/guardian in getting the module and books of the pupil. We assisted them by collecting
the books of the learners and giving them new set of books and modules for the pupils to
answer at home. We also assisted them in checking their pupils name and passed books and let
them sign at the given paper by our cooperating teacher. It was fun assisting parents and
guardians though there are only few we’ve assisted for we have only short time to duty on our
assigned grade level. So instead of ending our duty in the morning, my partner and I decided to
assist our cooperating teacher in the afternoon, we really want to assist more
parents/guardians in collecting the books of the learners. And finally, we assisted more
parents/guardians in the afternoon. It was fun, we just let our cooperating teacher sit back and
relax and just facilitate our works. That is all for today for I need to duty tomorrow for the next
rotation of our 2-day rotation teaching.
JUNE 2021
1 – Tuesday

Today is a new assigned grade level for us. After the multigrade yesterday, now our next
rotation is in KLC. We are assigned in kindergarten. At first, I wonder what will be the activity
for us. But our cooperating teacher told us yesterday that only one of us will duty today and the
other one is for tomorrow, so I decided to duty first for my place is far from the school. So,
when I met our cooperating teacher today, she then immediately gave me an activity. Not
doing modules, summative and unit test but she gave me learning materials to cut and paste. I
immediately work on my assigned task, it was also fun doing those cutting and pasting. Our
cooperating teacher also told me that it is also important for me know that kind of skill for I am
a future educator someday. I will also design my own classroom with my desired learning
materials. Finally, I finished all the assigned task to me and gone home. While I was on the way
home, I just realized that the classroom of the kindergarten has lots of learning materials
pasted on walls than the upper grade level. It was colorful and just you will not get bored easily.
That is all for today, I am now getting ready for tomorrow’s activity.

2 – Wednesday

Unfortunately, today the weather is not that good. But still, me and my partner gone to school
to duty and assist our cooperating teacher. When we met our cooperating teacher, there is
already an assigned task for us. We are going to clean the walls and remove the old
instructional materials and replace it to a new one. We cleaned the high walls, we helped our
cooperating teacher cleaned her classroom especially to the learning materials. Luckily, we are
both men so we can easily finish this kind of work. After doing all the assigned task to us, we
thanked our cooperating teacher for being such a good and kind teacher. Our cooperating
teacher and her co-teachers also thanked us for we helped their classroom get better. While on
the way home, I reflected what was my learning for today’s activity/task. I learned that being a
teacher needs to have a different kinds of learning materials for the learners especially on the
elementary pupils. There’s nothing much more for today so I am going to end this reflection. I
have no duty tomorrow for it is my partner’s turn to duty and assist there in the school. I am
just going to continue rewriting my checked lesson plans now and for tomorrow.

3 – Thursday

Today, I did not go to UEPLES for it is my partner who will take the first duty on our new
assigned cooperating teacher in our 2-day rotation teaching. So, I continued rewriting my
checked lesson plans today. I followed the suggestions and the corrections of each of my
cooperating teacher of every subject. While I was rewriting some of my checked lesson plans, I
also realized the big difference between my past and checked lesson plans. Our cooperating
teacher is just there to help our lesson plans be more effective for the learners. And I also
noticed that I really have to do my very best in making a lesson plan for it has less corrections if
you do it patiently. Before I was just making lesson plans and just chasing the deadline of
passing but because of that, there were plenty of corrections I got on my finished lesson plans. I
need to apply the culture of excellence in making these lesson plans. So now I still halfway to
rewrite my checked lesson plans for I am now doing it patiently and thinking how will be
effective to the learners.

4 – Friday

Today, it is my turn to go to UEPLES to assist our assigned cooperating teacher in our 2-day
rotation teaching. As I met my cooperating teacher, she then gave me the task for today. My
task is to arrange the books of every pupil that is to be collected on this coming Monday. I
arranged 3 books FILIPINO, MAPEH and ENGLISH in Grade 1. It is easy putting the first book on
the table but for the second and third book, I need to find the name of the owner on the book
for I do not memorize all the names. But as I go on, it is getting easy and I am getting familiar of
the names of the pupils. There is nothing much more given to me by our cooperating teacher
this day, after I arranged all 3 books of each pupil, she then let me leave and go home. As I
returned home, I immediately continued rewriting my checked lesson plans for I need to
rewrite all of it in a yellow paper first before putting it all in a lesson plan book. I also need to
finish rewriting it for I need to make a new lesson plan for my grand demo. My cooperating
teacher said that she needs to check my lesson plan and instructional materials first before
proceeding to demonstration. That would be all for today.

5 – Saturday

Today, my goal is to finish rewriting all my checked lesson plans that I have in here. So that I can
focus on making a new lesson plan for my demonstration teaching. I need to finish it tomorrow
so that my cooperating teacher will check it on Monday. Rewriting my checked lesson plans is
not an easy task. But at least it does not much require thinking for I am just rewriting it but still,
rewriting it over again is painful in my writing hand. But it is just nothing compare to the years I
spent just to be in my position right now which is a student teacher. It is just a small reason to
give up, I started this and I am a student so I need to do my task and responsibilities as a
student. I need to give time to my school works in order to achieve my goal someday. Also, I am
glad for based what I have observed, almost all professional teachers used cursive writing. This
is just a practice and preparation for me someday. And as a future educator they said, you must
have perseverance on every obstacle that you’re going to encounter, I think what I am/We are
facing right now is one of those obstacles. I need to learn to deal with every obstacle that will
come in front of me in order to survive the battle of perseverance in my academic years. That
would be all for today for I need to focus tomorrow on making a new lesson plan for my
demonstration teaching.

6 – Sunday

Today is the day that I started to make the lesson plan for my demonstration teaching in
intermediate level. I used 4 A’s method for they are already in intermediate level, and also our
cooperating teacher told us to use 4 A’s format if it is intermediate level. But still, we can also
use Explicit lesson plan format. The important thing here is for the pupils learn effectively and
how do I execute and deliver my lesson. What are inside the lesson plan is just a guide but in
actual teaching you to do more and add some extra effort in order for the pupils to learn
effectively. As I am making my lesson plan for my demonstration teaching in intermediate level,
I am also getting used of the parts of the lesson plans and what to do on that part. It is because
of my past made lesson plans, now I know what strategy to use of the particular part of the
lesson plan. We will have another cooperating teacher tomorrow in our 2-day rotation
teaching. We are assigned for grade 2 level so now I need to get some rest and be prepared for
tomorrows activities. That would be all for today, for today is rest day. God is good, all the time!

7 – Monday

Today is our next rotation to a new cooperating teacher. We are now assigned to grade 2 level.
So, when I got to school with my partner, our cooperating teacher already have a task for us.
Since it is Monday today, it is the day of submission and distribution of the textbooks. So, our
task is to assist the parents/guardians in submitting the books of the pupil and gave them the
assigned books for Monday. There’s nothing new for this day except that our cooperating
teacher gave us the task to make a module. It is a new task for me and also for my partner for
we are not given a task like this to our past cooperating teachers. As a student teacher, it is a
new challenge for me but at the same I felt the excitement to experience one of the jobs that
our cooperating teachers are doing. Our cooperating teacher told us that it is also important for
us to experience making modules for that is their job for this pandemic situation. But actually,
for me it is easy to make modules. Based on the sample that our cooperating teacher gave us, it
is more on instruction and guide because the lesson is all in the book. They are using the books
more and just making modules for a guide and instructions. So, for me, challenged accepted, it
is just nothing compare to what a real professional do. This is would be all for today for I need
to get ready for tomorrows’ second duty on grade 2 level.

8 – Tuesday

Today is a little bit different from the past activities and task that were given to us by our
cooperating teacher. Instead of the cooperating teacher giving us task and activities, it is our
course professor or the UEPLES principal who gave us the task. The task is no other than
cleaning the ground garden. We cleaned the waste and garbage at the ground garden and trim
some leaves that are not aligned to the line of the plants, we also replanted some plants. It is a
different task compared to our past activities, but our course professor said that it is also
important as a teacher. She said that as an elementary education teacher, you have to know
how to clean, plant, and have the knowledge about planting and gardening. Well yes, I agree to
our course professor’s statement for I have experienced all of these planting in my elementary
years. We also have tree planting and have our own garden every group. It is important for me
as a future elementary teacher to have this experience for it is useful someday for me in the
future.

9 – Wednesday
Today, it is my partners turn to go and duty to our cooperating teacher. Not all teachers will
need both of the pupils at the same day. Some cooperating teachers will only need one student
teacher in the morning and the other student teacher is assigned the next morning. Also, some
of our cooperating teacher will need both student teachers in the same day, they also made us
duty whole day. Well, it depends on the cooperating teachers, our job as a student teacher is
follow and respect our cooperating teacher for they are our guide and tutor in this journey of
student teaching. I also understand some of our cooperating teachers who will need both
student teachers the whole day because they need our help in their assigned task. And some
cooperating teachers just wanted to make sure that we are safe in this pandemic time. So
today, I just made an outline of my second subject for my demonstration teaching. But this
time, I need the assistance of my cooperating teacher for the parts of an explicit lesson plan in
Filipino instruction. That would be all for today, I need to focus on tomorrow’s awaiting task
and activities.

10 – Thursday

Today, our course professor told us to accomplish our assigned task which is to fill up the school
register form. Our course professor told us to ask our cooperating teachers for the copy of their
school register form for us to accomplish copying the data of the pupils. For me, it is also an
important part as a student teacher because I know someday, I will encounter this kind of task.
And not only this kind of form but also those different kinds of booklet, lesson plan books,
records and more. I am just excited to teach someday and hopefully that luck will be on my side
in the future so that I can grab the opportunity to be an educator someday. Unfortunately, to
this pandemic situation that is happening, there is less of hiring of a teacher for there is no face-
to-face learning. But I will try my very best to be a DEPED teacher so that I can handle and take
care of my family and have a noble job. I just want to be financially stable someday. Those are
my goals about of my coming job and career. That would be all for today, I must rest and be
ready for tomorrows new assigned cooperating teacher in our 2-day rotation teaching.

11 – Friday

Today, me and my co-student teacher received a news from our course professor. She told us
to just stay at home for today for there was an increasing cases of covid-19 near the place of
our school. I was ready to duty to our new assigned cooperating teacher when I got the news. I
was worried for I really want to finish this year and graduate. I hope that we can still have
learning class even if it is online or paper works. Our course professor then told us that there
are tasks that we need to accomplish even though we are at home today. She then told us to
accomplish all the data and records of every pupil in our assigned grade level. So I immediately
then contacted my cooperating teachers to give the rest of the records that she has so that I
can accomplish my school register form. Aside from this, I am now also focusing in making my
lesson plan for my second subject in demonstration teaching. My goal is to finish all of this at
Sunday night. Being a student teacher is not an easy task, we are just lucky this semester for
there is no face-to-face learning. But I still want to experience teaching the pupils in actual. This
would be all for today, I need to accomplish all the requirements in order to proceed to the
next task.

12 – Saturday

Today, I was busy making my second lesson plan for our demonstration teaching. While I was
making the lesson plan. For me, it is just like I am getting used of making lesson plans. I can
already picture out in my head what I will going to execute and strategy to use. For me, I was
born in the age of computer so I have some skills and knowledge how to use this technology
especially in encoding and more. I am also confident in my typing skills. So, I really want to
encode lesson plans but our cooperating teacher and course professor told us to do hand
written in cursive lesson plans. I know this was coming from the start but later on, I started to
experience the benefits of cursive writing. Even though I am used to write not in cursive form, I
am now getting used to write in cursive. I can see also the benefits of cursive writing, like it is
useful for me someday because as I observed, all of my cooperating teachers are writing in
cursive. But I still need to improve my penmanship for I am still learning again how to write in
cursive. Anyways, I am now done with my second subject for our demonstration teaching and it
is ready to be checked on Monday. After all the checking of my lesson plans for the
demonstration teaching, I will then make the instructional materials of every lesson plan for my
demonstration teaching. Well, that would be all for today. Another task is going to be done
tomorrow hopefully.

13 – Sunday

Today, I am finally starting to make the encoded lesson plan in my first subject for our
demonstration teaching. I just finished encoding all the written lesson plan. After doing this, I
want to immediately make the instructional materials for my demonstration teaching for my
cooperating teacher in demonstration teaching would like to check first the instructional
materials before proceeding in demonstration teaching. I will make the PowerPoint
Presentation for my first subject of demonstration teaching next. Tomorrow, I need to go to the
school and collect my checked lesson plans so that I can start rewriting them to the lesson plan
book. Also, I will pass my written and encoded lesson plan for my demonstration teaching. As a
student teacher, I am now starting to feel the task and hardships of a professional teacher. As a
student teacher, we now loaded with more task to do and requirements to be passed. It is also
the same as the professional teachers, they are so busy making their task especially modules
and records and more, but for me as a practice teacher, I am going to do my best to accomplish
all the required task and requirements in order to achieve one of my goals. When others can do
it, why can’t we? It is just a battle of our mindset. We just have to be always positive even
though we are surrounded with negativity. Perseverance is the key with prayers to be guided by
our God, all things is possible. That would be all for today for I need to get ready for tomorrow’s
journey.

14 – Monday
Today, I went to UEPLES to pass my encoded lesson plan for the first subject of our
demonstration teaching. I also passed along the written lesson plan for the second subject of
our demonstration teaching. Now that I have planned my teaching strategies for the
demonstration teaching, all I have to do now is to prepare the instructional materials and have
the mastery of my lessons. I need to prepare myself to this for is our only demonstration
teaching. Though we have still more requirements to accomplish like the lesson plan book and
school register form, I need to put more focus on this demonstration teaching because I think
that it has the higher percentage of our grade, but I am not caring only for my grade but also for
my performance as a future educator. I am hoping to get the expectation of our cooperating
teachers and hopefully exceed those. But as for now I am still nervous but feeling the readiness
and excitement of the upcoming demonstration teaching using video. That would be all for
today for I need to continue working all of our requirements for student teaching.

15 – Tuesday

My course professor of the other subject aside from student teaching contacted me today. She
said that we will have our midterm exam today. I was then immediately given of the midterm
exam and answered it. On the other hand, in my student teaching subject, I was busy
continuing to work on the School Register Form that our course professor required us to
accomplish. For me, it is an easy task doing the school register form for us for we just need to
copy the records of the pupils and write it on a new school register form. But because of the
suspended classes, we are struggling for sometimes the image from online is not that much
clear. So, I need my partner to go to the school tomorrow to capture the images of the records
for our School Register Form in order to accomplish and pass it to our course professor. Being a
professional teacher, they need to have this form. For there will be seen the records of the
pupils especially the attendance of the pupil. It is important to have these record because
according to one of our cooperating teachers, by this record you can monitor your pupils
because some parents is going to ask questions about their child’s attendance. So as a future
educator, I need to have a good relationship of the parent/guardian of my pupils so that I can
better monitor my learners someday.

16 – Wednesday

Today, I was busy planning my strategy of execution for our coming demonstration teaching.
But for now, I just have the outline and plan. I was also busy continuing to write the school
register form that our course professor required us to accomplish. While writing the details of
the pupils in the school register form, I realized that being a professional teacher also means
being active at all times especially on listing the details of your pupils in the school register
form. A professional teacher also needs to have a good relationship with other members of the
community. You need to have a good relationship with the parents of your pupils, your co-
teachers and staff. Not just relationship inside the school but also outside the campus. Being a
professional teacher means being active, participate and use their skills and knowledge for the
country. It is all said in the Code of Ethics of a Professional Teacher. There are plenty of task to
carry as a professional teacher. So as a future professional teacher, I must have a clean and
clear image and reputation for I will be a role model for my learners someday, not just my
students but also for everyone I know.

17 & 18 – Thursday and Friday

On these days, I was busy collecting my checked lesson plans so that I can rewrite it all in a
lesson plan book. It was not all checked, I also noticed that there’s one lesson plan that had
corrections and suggestions. I thought that lesson plan I made was analready good plan, but it is
just only for me because my cooperating teacher put some corrections and suggestions in it.
And then I remembered that each one of us have our own strategy, our own way and our own
styles. And most especially, I respect my cooperating teacher and I was thankful for giving my
lesson plan some suggestions and corrections. It is true that each one of us is unique in our own
way but the cooperating teacher assigned for my lesson plan is a Professional Teacher while I
am just still a student teacher that’s why I accept and respect the corrections and suggestions
of our cooperating teacher even if it means that I have to rewrite again my finished lesson plan.
The suggestions and corrections our cooperating made for us is just for our own development
and not for them, they are just sharing their knowledge and strategy for us to apply it and be
useful someday in the future when we encounter something like lesson planning. That would
be all for these days, I need to prepare for our demonstration teaching next week.

19 – Saturday

Today is the day that I want to start working everything related to our demonstration teaching.
We need to start recording a video for our demonstration teaching starting next week
according to the cooperating teachers and our course professor. It is a very important role for
me as student teacher to accomplish demonstration teaching, not only that it is just for the
grades but also for me to experience teaching even though it is just a virtual teaching or as if I
am teaching pupils, I am satisfied of it as long as I can teach. It is also better than not being able
to teach our demonstrate teaching. I also want to experience this for it is going to be memory
of my student teaching someday. Though it is not as active as before when there is a face-to-
face interaction, it is still better than nothing. What is important here is that I continued to
learn and hoping to apply life-long learning. So now I need to prepare the instructional
materials that is needed for my demonstration teaching. that would be all for today for it is
going to be a busy week.

20 – Sunday

Today is supposed to be a rest day but for me as a student teacher I need to continue working
the assigned task to accomplish. I need to give more focus on accomplishing the required task
assigned to us student teachers for us to be able to move on to another task that our course
professor told us. They said we are fortunate enough to be able to enroll in this type of
situation with the on going pandemic for we have less task to accomplish than those student
teachers in the past who actually teaches pupils in face-to-face interaction. Yes, I agree to this
statement for it is true there are less task to be accomplish but I am also worried for some of
our cooperating teacher said that in job hunting, some prefer to have a fresh graduate teacher
who experienced off campus teaching. Also, I am sure that years after my college years, I will
sure miss my experiences these days. Unfortunately, there no face-to-face interaction so in my
student teaching days, I will only remember the task and requirements and some experiences
that I had. But is better that nothing. As a future educator, I must have the flexibility skill. I must
adjust to a situation and adapt to it. That would be all for today.

21 – Monday

Today, I am planning to go to UEPLES to pass my encoded lesson plan of my second subject for
our demonstration teaching. They said starting this week we must start recording the video of
our demonstration teaching. So, I need to accomplish on making the instructional materials for
my demonstration teaching starting this day. Also, I need to master the plan that I made and
the lesson. I am excited to see the results of this demonstration teaching. I am now starting to
imagine and picture myself doing the demonstration teaching, I am now picturing the laughter,
the joy and excitement of doing it. Hopefully it will be a success with enjoyment doing so. I
hope we can use the classrooms of the UEPLES for demonstration teaching but I think there is a
low possibility we can use it. So for now, I am just going to continue working all the preparation
for my demonstration teaching and master my lessons for it. There’s nothing much and that
would be all for today for I need more time of doing the instructional materials for my grand
demonstration teaching.

22 & 23 – Tuesday and Wednesday

On these days, I was busy working all the preparation for my demonstration teaching. I need to
prepare as soon as possible because our course professor told us that this week is deadline of
the video of our demonstration teaching. I am now mastering on how to execute my lesson for
tomorrow. I need to film the video tomorrow for It is already Thursday tomorrow and the
deadline is until just this week. And of course, it is natural to be nervous thinking about my
demonstration teaching especially when it will be filmed tomorrow. I am feeling nervous but
excited to finish my demonstration teaching. I hope my cooperating teacher will be pleased by
my performance and be satisfied of what she is going to see. For now, I am focusing
memorizing but not all, I am just reading my lesson so that I can have the mastery of it. On the
other hand, it is unfortunate to have our demonstration teaching through video only. It is hard
to be pretending something that don’t exist, but for the sake of our requirements to be
accomplished, we have no choice but to follow the rules and instructions given to us as a
student teacher. Although it is sad to pretend I have pupils and having a face-to-face
interaction, I still appreciate teaching through video for I can still express and use my skills and
knowledge as a student teacher. That would be all for today for I need to prepare for I need to
prepare of my two subjects for our demonstration teaching tomorrow.

24 – Thursday
Today, I thought I was going to film for our demonstration teaching. But there was an
emergency o of my partners who will film me while I am demonstrating. So, I need to cancel the
filming of my demonstration teaching for it is a very urgent emergency. Before I received the
news, I was all ready and excited to perform the given task but unfortunately, I can’tforce my
partner to film the video while he has an emergency situation. So, what I did instead is to
prepare more for my demonstration teaching execution. I am mastering and reviewing the
lesson in order to gain more knowledge of what strategy to use and think of some effective
strategies to execute. As a future teacher, in my everyday lesson, I need to have the mastery of
it. Because whatever question that you encounter to your lesson, you can easily answer it. And
this just not apply for just being a future teacher, it applies to all of the people who are going to
present something. There is a lot of advantages of being able to master your lesson. Because
even if you don’t memorize the lines in your lesson plan of what you’re going to say, you can
just still find another way to deliver your lesson. Mastering the lesson proper is an important
thing, for it will make you think of what activities you can give to the students aside from the
activities of the book. That would be all for today for I need to review and master my lesson for
my demonstration teaching.

25 – Friday

Today, I tried to contact our professor of this subject. I ask her if I can use the classrooms of the
UEPLES and she also asked my cooperating teacher if it is possible. Unfortunately, I received a
negative response, one of my cooperating teachers of my demonstration teaching said that I
am not allowed to use the classrooms of the school for it is strict in face-to-face interaction. I
was not ready of what I have heard because as I know before, we are allowed to use the
classroom of the school according to some of our cooperating teachers. But as a student
teacher, our number 1 rule is to follow the instructions and directions of our instructors. So, I
contacted my fellow classmates who are just living the same municipality as mine so that we
can use classrooms here in the school nearby to our place. Luckily, we are given a chance to use
one of the rooms of the school but only on weekends. It is now better than filming a demo
teaching not inside a classroom. Doing it inside classroom is much better experience and it is
also conducive for learning environment. That would be all for today because I need to prepare
for tomorrow. It is weekend tomorrow so I we can use the classroom for our demonstration
teaching.

26 – Saturday

This is now the day of my demonstration teaching just in the kindergarten center near our
place. I was nervous at first while I was going to the school. When I entered the room, I was
welcomed by the smiles of our pupils and I also saw my other co-student teacher reviewing,
practicing and preparing their demonstration teaching. I was so happy that there are at least 4
pupils that participated for our demonstration teaching. We asked the permission of each
pupil’s parents before bringing them to the school. We also asked the teacher of the room to
use the room just for a day to do our demonstration teaching. Everything was set and the only
thing to do is just to execute our demonstration teaching. I was the one who did the demo
teaching, I was the first who taught the pupils in the morning. Afterwards, my other classmates
did their demonstration teaching. Again, I was very satisfied to have some learners to teach
even just they are only 4 pupils but still for me it is better than having no pupils. While I was
about to start my demo teaching, I was praying and hoping that those pupils will understand
my lesson because as far as I know, they are not in the same grade level. Some of them are
intermediate and some are primary level. So as a student teacher, I need to be flexible in
executing my lesson. Even though I need to follow what was on my lesson plan but what I did
was let them understand the lesson and taught them slowly so that they will be able to learn
something. After my turn to teach those learners, we also let the pupils take a break and gave
them some snacks. We also let the pupils eat their lunch in lunchbreak. While I was teaching my
lesson, I was so pleased by the pupils and they gave me a motivation to teach them for they are
just staring at me waiting for me to introduce something new to them. After all my
demonstration teaching, I was contented and gone home. This was the activities that I have
done this day, it was worth it to teach children even though it is just a practice teaching.

27 – Sunday

After yesterday of doing demonstration teaching and filming videos, today I was now reviewing
my videos teaching the pupils. While I was viewing my video, I suddenly then noticed my
mistakes and good strategies that I used in my demonstration teaching. I was proud of myself
at the same time, I was also worried of the mistakes that I made in doing the demo teaching.
While reviewing the video, for me I was worried for I lack the instructional materials. I was
supposed to use the projector in the UEPLES but our cooperating teachers did not allow us to
go there because of the increasing cases of covid-19. So, most of my instructional materials is
inside of a lap tap. I am using PowerPoint Presentation as my instructional materials for I am
good and confident of my skills using this kind of application and use it as a material for my
lesson. But I was worried because of not having the chance to use projector. I should have
some emergency materials for my lesson but I was already too late when I asked permission of
my cooperating teacher. I am allowed to use the projector in the school but we are not allowed
to go to the school because of the increasing cases. So, I did not use projector when I did my
demo teaching. What I have is my confidence and the knowledge of my lesson and strategy to
use, that is my weapon for my demonstration teaching. Yes, I know I lack the effort to make the
extra instructional materials, I will do better next time. It was just a lesson for me to learn. That
was all for this day.

28 – Monday

Today, we received an update from our cooperating teacher. She said that the deadline of the
video of our demonstration teaching is need to be passed today. I was worried because the
video of my demo teaching is not playing when it is transferred in a computer or lap tap. It is
just playing in my phone for this is where I recorded the video of my demonstration teaching. I
hope my cooperating teacher will consider and will understand the situation when I pass these
videos tomorrow. I am hoping that passing this requirement will go well for I think this is the
highest percentage of our grade for this subject student teaching. We are almost there, I am
almost to reach one step of my goals which is to finish college. It is almost July, and the
schedule for our soon to be graduation is in august. 1 more month and weeks to go. I am
praying for that day to come. Just a few more weeks to go, I need to persevere all the
requirements and task to do for this is it. I know there more task and activities to do starting
next month but as a student teacher, I need to focus and do all the required task in order to
actually graduate this year. That would be all for today for I need to prepare for tomorrow to
pass the video of my demonstration teaching.

29 – Tuesday

This day, I wen to UEPLES to pass my video of demonstration teaching. Along with the video, I
also passed the lesson plan for the 2 subjects that I demonstrated and attached to it is the
evaluation sheet for our grade. I was excited to pass my video but unfortunately, one of my
cooperating teachers that is assigned to me is not present this day for they have the skeletal
schedule. So, I went to ask our course professor of what are the other way so that I can pass my
video, lesson plans and evaluation sheets.Luckily, she understood my situation because my
place is far from the school and told me that I can give it to another cooperating teachers. So, I
immediately passed it on and hoping that they will be happy and be satisfied of my
demonstration teaching. I may not get their expectations for I lack in instructional materials but
I did try my very best of doing the task. As a student teacher, I realized that having a student to
teach is great for you can feel they are an empty vessel to be filled with knowledge and wisdom
from us student teacher and professional teachers. My prayers are answered when I taught
these pupils. I thought I wouldn’t be able to teach learners in face-to-face interaction but there
it was.

30 – Wednesday

This day was an unlucky day for me, I got sick and laying in bed all day. But that doesn’t stop me
from thinking all the required task and activities for us to accomplish. Even though I am not
feeling well, I am already thinking of what to do first/prioritize of our requirements. Luckily, I
got this sickness after I passed our requirements of demonstration teaching. So, this day I was
thinking all day of what I am going to do and write for our requirements especially for the
compilation and the E-portfolio. We are so close to the graduation day now, one more month
to go and I need to survive and have perseverance on this one. The only requirements for us
now are the compilation of lesson plans, modules and instructional materials made by us. Also,
we are required to compile our portfolio and E-portfolio. It may seem easy to do but one thing
is for sure of doing all this requirement, that is “Time.” More time and extra effort in order to
accomplish these requirements is needed. There are still a lot more to do for us because we are
nearly in the finish line. I just need time to do all these works for as a student teacher, from the
word student, we are still learning more. That would be all for today.

JULY 2021
1 – Thursday

This day, I felt better than yesterday. So, I am now starting to work one of our requirements so
that I can lessen all the required task that were given to us. I am now starting to rewrite the
lesson plans that are checked by our cooperating teachers to the lesson plan book. All the
checked lesson plans in the yellow paper are going to be transferred to the lesson plan book for
it is where we compile all of them. There are still a lot more to do like in the e-portfolio, we
need to input there some introductions, acknowledgements, professional readings and PPST
and their reflections and more. In our compilation on the other hand are the pictures of our
evidences of our experiences while practice teaching starting from the modules to assisting our
cooperating teachers. I know there are a lot of requirements to be done, but I can’t help
thinking that we are nearly there. We are nearly to our graduation day so it means all the
required task to do is very exciting to do and I think I can do them without nervousness and
boredom. You cannot blame me for feeling all of this, I think all graduating students all felt this
way. So, for now I need to continue on doing one of our required tasks to be accomplish and
hopefully I can do all of them without some hindrances. That would be all for today for I need
to focus on this one.

2 – Friday

This day, I am still working for our requirements as a student teacher. Now that we have more
time to do these requirements, I am hoping to finish it as soon as possible for I also need to
work in order to have some extra money for my family. I know it is hard being a student teacher
while being a parent. Most of us on this batch are parents, so I understand my fellow
classmates. I am also helping them of the ways that I can do and as far I could. My fellow
classmates also helped me in times that I need help like answering my inquiries and more. So,
each one of us are helping each other. As I am continuing to work for my requirements, I am
also taking care of my precious family. Yes it is not an easy role to work on as a father of a
young age. But I know nothing is impossible, they said just learn the basic. That would be all for
today because I need to put more focus and time in compiling my requirements, graduation is
nearly there.

3 – Saturday

Today, I am going to reflect being a professional teacher. I am picturing myself being one of the
professional teachers here in the Philippines. As I imagined myself being one, I felt the
nervousness and excitement flowing inside me. Yes, I am nervous of taking the role as a
professional teacher someday but at the same time, I am also excited to get the opportunity of
being a professional teacher. I am excited also of meeting my first pupils/students of my career.
Hopefully, I will be respected as a professional teacher someday. Also as a professional teacher
according to the “Code of Ethics of a Professional Teacher” it is said there that you have to do
the things that are appropriate in order to have a clean and good reputation or background. As
a future professional teacher, I have to be a role model to my pupils or learners. Not just pupils,
but also everyone around me. It is also said that being a professional teacher is not just being
active inside the school but also outside the school campus. We should be active to the
community activities and have a good relationship from the officials around us and especially
the parents of our pupils. Those mentioned are just small parts of the code of ethics of a
professional teacher but it has a big role to fill. That would be all for today.

4 – Sunday

Today is Sunday and is supposed to be a rest day. But instead of resting, as a student teacher I
am motivated to do our required task and starting to continue where I left off yesterday. As I
am thinking of the near graduation, I am more motivated to do all these task and hopefully
finish all of it as soon as possible. As a finish one task, I immediately proceed to another. I do
work on it one step at a time. I don’t pressure myself that much so that I will not get depressed
of making all the requirements. Instead of getting depressed, I am motivated to do all of it. I felt
satisfaction as I finished one of it to another. Being a student teacher in our batch is for me I
think is a lot easier and more relax that the batch that has face-to-face interaction. Because as I
observed, the batch that have face-to-face interaction have more task to do and more activities
to be made. Unlike our batch, yes it is true that we have also some requirements of course, but
unlike to the past batch they have more required task to be accomplish and the good thing for
their batch is that they have interaction with the pupils, they happily and enjoyed being with
them. While our batch is more on online instruction, well as a student teacher I need to accept
that fact that there is nothing I can do to do put the situation back to normal with face-to-face
interaction. But one thing is for sure I can do as a student teacher and an individual is to follow
and do the safety protocols told to us by the professionals.

5 – Monday

This day is for sure a busy day for me for today, is the continuation of doing the entire task to
be accomplished for our requirements. In these times, I am now doing all my best to finish all
these requirements. As a student teacher, I am now very much motivated as I think again the
near graduation day. Yes my heart is pounding as the feeling of excitement gets inside of me.
After all of my past events, experiences and activities, I am nearly and so much there to the
finish line, so what are the reasons to back off? No! There is none. Even though there are now
lots of requirements to be accomplished in this near finish line, I believe in myself that I can do
this all. I have trust in myself to encounter and face all the requirements that are needed to be
done in order to graduate. So as I am writing this daily reflection, I am now also thinking and
planning of what requirement to do next and finish. That would be all for today, there’s nothing
much to this day, it is all just doing the requirements that are needed to be accomplished.
