2.” Travel broadens the mind” What is your opinion of this?
The world is a book and those who don’t travel read only one page.
In my opinion, travel is one of the best education I've ever had.
Reason
1. Learning common sense
Knowing the way to communicate with other people when they just know a little bit English.
+ When the car breaks down, we know exactly what the problem is and fix it instead of calling for
help.
=> help you calm down when the trouble comes up, easily deal with it.
2 Learn history, and discover cultural differences
See a beauty spot with your own eyes and become more curious about these places.
Be able to observe closely how people live every single day ( what they eat, how they dress
themselves
Do you know why Myanmar people paint their faces white- travel will answer you.
Learning different languages more easily
=> Have more idea, shape your perspectives
3. Learn Independence
Knowing how to plan a trip, budget carefully to be able to afford the trip.
Dealing with the delayed flights or travel arrangements that don’t follow suit.
=> Be flexible, figure the way out of the situation and learn to have patience
4. Learn how the world works
Knowing why southeast asian countries are suitable to grow rice.
What jobs people have to survive in a certain country.
What makes China flourish?
=> expand your knowledge
To sum up,the saying that travel broadens the mind is absolutely right . Travel is the best way to
learn new things. It helps us push our limits, shape our perspective and expand our knowledge.

Trying to listen to what we truly want and truly understand ourselves.
Don’t be afraid of failing “It’s completely ok to start something over again”
4. In conclusion

What is the biggest problem for young students in Vietnam today? Give some suggestions to solve
the problem.
Children don’t understand their ability and don’t know how to take advantages from their strength. They
even don’t have a dream job-> don't have motivation to learn.
Reason
1.Teachers try to give as much knowledge as possible to students. School wants to educate an all-round
student. But every student has their own ability. You can't ask a student to solve a math problem quickly
while he is good at Literature
2.Forget to train them the way of thinking , understand themselves.-> don't know what their favorite
subject is.
3.Students only receive boring theoretical knowledge instead of practicing -> not gain experience ->
reduce interest in that subject
Ex: When you learn biology you know how to plant a tree when you do actually plant it you will know
exactly what we have to focus on and when the tree grow up -> feel happy-> love biology
4.Student don’t know how to do self study because they were given all the answer, they don’t have time
to think and solve-> don’t feel happy when sth done
Solutions
Schools and teachers
1.Categorise the students into different groups which are associated with their strength. Some students
are more physically-inclined,some academically-inclined and some artistically- inclined-> establish
different training methods.
2.Take a comprehensive test to determine their strength.
3.Create good conditions for students to promote their ability.( facilities, reduce exam on other
subjects
4.Organize the meeting of Career guidance to help students choose their future university exactly
5.Reform homework into practice
Students
1.Spend time understanding myself to know what you want, what you need, what you have to do.
2.Have a positive attitude towards learning -> Self study
What do you expect most from your teacher and why? (debate, discussion)
*honesty, give a sense of closeness.
Admit their shortcomings
Accept situations which they haven’t come up with the best solutions.
*sympathy
Understand students’ feelings, family backgrounds pay more attention to the students who have
difficulties, observe and find out students’ aptitude.
Understand common behaviors of teenagers deal with students properly.
Understand common difficulties/anxieties/tension/heavy workload of a student give advices on how to
manage them.
*patience
Understand different students’ backgrounds, academic abilities be flexible in teaching process.
some students are slower in the uptake, teacher must show their patience in teaching these students by
conscientiously explaining, continuously improving their teaching skills, making the class more interesting,
more gripping,…
*passion, inquisitiveness, progressive (of utmost importance)
A teacher who is passionate throughout their career will have those above-mentioned qualities.
Only by the passion of a teacher will the school/educational system create good students.
A good teacher is the one who actively knows their strengths/weaknesses establish their own plans to
enhance their teaching skill.
A teacher must never stop the process of learning and absorbing always broaden their minds, be creative
and innovative in teaching students.
Teacher is a highly-respected profession, yet it is also a hard and demanding job. A good teacher is not
about how much knowledge they have, but it is about how they teach.
Do you like teamwork or individual work? Why and which one works better for you.
Some people prefer working alone while others in a team.In my opinion, both teamwork and
individual work is essential in your study life.Knowing when to go alone, and when to work together
is vital for the successful completion of any task.
Depend on your personality
-Introvert-> Individual
-Extrovert-> teamwork
? If an introverted person has to work on a team? Nightmare?
-> It’s a good chance to gain experience .
Depend on what type of work
Teamwork is made when you deal with an assignment that needs a lot of research, demands other
perspectives.
1. Pros of teamwork
Developed soft and communication skills : Encourage people to communicate with other
team members -> build a close rapport with others.
increasing the collaboration-> come up with a bunch of ideas; Everyone is unique and has
difference experiences , skills -> see things from a different angle
solve the problem more easily -> two and more people are always better than one.
Shared responsibility : Set yourself free from complete control-> If you do sth wrong,
your coworker will point it out and we can solve it together.
2. Cons of teamwork
Out of control meetings( just for discussion instead of working -> time-consuming->
decrease the efficiency of the team
Be distracted by other people : when you are working, other member turn up and talk to
you -> can not concentrate
Unequal involvement of team members : there may be members who sit back and let others
do all the work -> affect the mood of others in the team-> conflict.
Beside, individual work is better when there is a task in hand and that requires high concentration and
focus.
1. Pros of individual work
You can decide what to do when, work at your own pace
No more distraction ( outside interaction and extra meetings)
Get the whole credit for the work-> don't have to be frustrated when someone does less but get
the same credit.
2. Cons of individual work
Responsibility for the whole assignment: If you fail, it’s your fault.
Easily get bored, frustrated when nobody to talk or share ideas with you.
You have to motivate yourself. Nobody will remind you when there is only one day left.
=> Choosing teamwork or individual work depends on 2 criteria : The type of work and your personality.
We have to try both to know what is your weakness and improve it.
What is your ideal career in the future? Why? What do you think to do to get it? (give actual examples)
How much homework is enough for secondary school students ?
We can't deny the benefit of homework. It not only helps with your knowledge but it also builds study
skills and characters. It can lead to a willingness to learn during free time and inspire a love for learning.
On the other hand, others said that homeworks makes children frustrated and exhausted. Students said
they have less time to do other activities .
The question is How much homework is enough for secondary school students?
It depends on 3 things
Age:
in primary school -> less homework, more outdoor activities
In secondary school -> the more we grow, the more things we have to learn -> do more homework
->reinforce your knowledge-> get chance to enter university
Type of homework
Some kind of homework in paper should be reduced to the level that is easy enough for students
to do on their own and have a basic foundation.
From that point, we can design more assignment in practical type -> consolidate your knowledge
you have learnt
Ex: In IT, instead of giving them a bunch of multiple choice assignments, teachers should guide
them to practice on the computer.
=> close to the reality
Depend on one's ability
Everybody has their own ability -> develop on that strength -> do more homework to practice
From that point ,teachers should give proper amounts of homework for each person.
Ex: a student who is good at Math doesn't have to do a lot of History homework.
TO sum up, it depends on 3 criteria : the age, the types of homework , and the strength of students.
Students should practice more on what they are good at to improve their ability

It is often said that sports can improve solidarity and friendship among people
In my opinion, sport is not just only a physical activity to promote our health of modern civilization,
but it also teaches us about solidarity and friendship.
1. Solidarity
Everything about sport reinforces the important value of solidarity that we can take this
lesson and apply it in reality.
Unity : When you see your teammates striving together for a certain goal- > have motivation,
positive attitude, hope to win
Courage: everybody works for a common aim-> fight on despite the odds, the difficult that
you scare for a long time
Kindness: When your teammate fall, you lift him up, take care of him
Respect: We respect our teammates, coaches and even opponents-> play with goodwill and
inquiring mind.
Cooperation: Build tactics for the match, know the strength, weakness of your teammates
and even sacrifice to be a springboard to help teammates get points.
2. Friendship

Make friends and build close rapport
Hang out with friends
Share experience of working hard and competing together against others.
=> To sum up, not only for physical purpose, sports also help us make friends, flourish our
friendship-> teach us solidarity among peers that can apply to reality
Many people think that attending college/university is not necessary. Do you agree? Why or why not?
1. Reason
There are still unemployed graduates.
There are successful figures that dropped out of school.
People don’t see the point of going to college/university “does it actually help them to develop
themselves?”
People bear the idea that exposing themselves to real-life experience would benefit them more
than spending time studying.
2. Counterargument
Nowadays, employers expect more from their employees apart from academic background such as
soft skills: teamwork, problem solving,…
Successful figures
o Usually had family background: Bill Gates,…
o Be endowed with outstanding innate abilities that not everyone have.
o Some successful figures have emphasized the importance of university: Mark Zuckerberg, the founder
of the current biggest social media – Facebook, received his degree at Harvard University at the age of
33. He said that graduation is one of his objectives in life.
University can give us a bunch of benefits
*ensure you have a solid knowledge background of your major
*university is an ideal place for networking and practicing skills like teamworking, bonding, presentation,…
*receive job orientation
*some universities even create opportunities for their students to have hands-on experience, internship, give a
clear view into the workforce of your future job, understand more about employers’ expectations and job
prospects.
*if you perform well in some universities, you may get a job from cooperative companies.
It is hard to find a job without qualifications get no experience jobless circle.
o Besides, there is no actual work environment so you can not build relationship cause obstacles for
your progress.
3. Conclusion
*attending university/college is a matter of choice.
*it depends mostly on each person abilities/personalities.
The most important thing is that you understand yourself, your strengths, weaknesses, interests,… Set a
plan to develop yourself Choosing the right path, the right education institutions, or getting real-life
experience.
personal opinion: still prefer to go to university because it helps us to acquire solid background, build
advantageous relationships, thus facilitate our progress.
“university is not the only way, but it is the best way”
