I. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Bataan Heroes Memorial College with its mission to transform
its student to “Total Persons” believes that learning is not only
acquired within the four walls of a classroom but with different
approaches that would be most helpful to its
students.
On the Job Training is a requirement in the Electrical
Engineering program that aims to expose the students in the actual
work environment, validate the knowledge acquired from school,
orient and trains them to be work ready once they graduated from
college. OJT as part of its curriculum is very helpful especially to
Electronics Engineering students since it would give them a clear view
of the actual field of in the Industry.
The learnings I acquire during my OJT period would be useful in
my future endeavor. I learned communication skill, which is very
important when communicating with bosses and workmates. I also
developed my computer skill and networking skill as throughout my
OJT I am assigned with biometrics, IP addressing both for biomedical
equipment and computer networks, proposal on how to increase the
signal strength of mobile phone networks at the lower ground of the
hospital and visual graphics.
Most importantly, I learn people skills, socialized, explore, ask
questions and improve my technical skills.

II. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
The success of On-the-Job Training wouldn’t be possible without
the efforts of my superiors, school officials, advisers. I appreciate all
the efforts, patience and knowledge they shared with me for the
betterment of my experience. With this, I would like extent my
gratitude to the following persons that help me finish my Virtual On-
the-Job Training.
To Engr. Arlene B. Santos, our Program Chair for ECE/EE, for her
patience and advice throughout the course of my On-the-Job Training.
To Engr. Chrislyn P. Carlos, for giving us the time and sharing her
knowledge with us.
Lastly, to God Almighty, for the strength and perseverance, for Him I
gave my highest regard, for His undying love and grace.

III. SCHOOL PROFILE
HISTORY
Bataan Heroes Memorial College, established in 1979 is a
private, non-sectarian, co-educational institution, duly registered with
the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a stock
corporation.
BHMC is among the institutions under the Capitol System of
Schools established by Engr. Sesenio S. Rosales and Gloria
Laureana S. Rosales. BHMC was intended by its founders to serve as
a monument to the heroes of Bataan in World War II who left behind
legacies of courage, human endurance, burning patriotism, and the
indomitability of the Filipino spirit. These are legacies that the
founders deemed worthy of emulation and inculcation in the minds of
the Filipino youth.
BHMC began operations in school year (SY) 1979-1980 with
293 freshmen enrolled in nine (9) initial course offerings namely
General Engineering, Maritime Education, Commerce, Liberal Arts,
Secondary Teacher Education, Secretarial, Agriculture Technology
and Secondary Education courses. Following a board policy of
rotation, Madame Rosales was reinstated as President of the College
in 1987. In 2001, the college’s initiative to widen program offerings
resulted in the opening of the following programs: BS in Criminology,
BS in

Computer Engineering, BS in Electrical Engineering and BS in
Electronics Engineering. Government recognitions were granted by
the Commission on Higher Education
(CHED) before the graduation of the first batch in 2005.
In 2014, the College reopened the High School department
(now Junior High School), grades 7-10. Answering to the changing
landscape of Philippine education, the Senior High School department
was established and welcomed the first batch of K-12 students in
2016.

V. Experiences
A. On Online/ Virtual training
I was a bit confused at first as to how we are going to learn or to
be training virtually as OJT was supposed to be done face-to-face. But
as the Virtual training goes on, I see that the tasks given to us are all
still related to electrical engineering and the Webinars added
knowledge for us that we may not pick up at school.
B. On the start of training
The first day was virtually easy. We had a general orientation,
we learned about what to expect in the coming days. It was mostly
recalling past knowledges about electrical symbols and engineering
drawing.
C. On the middle of training
Although lacking the in-person experience virtual training
allowed me to learn more about electrical engineering field through
webinars and from an actual engineer speaker.
D. On the last day of training
It was bittersweet because we did not get to experience OJT in-
person

VII. Issues and Concerns
A. About the Online/Virtual OJT
The only issues I encountered during my Online OJT are:
1. Sometimes the internet is very slow. It hinders with my
work/tasks since it requires a lot of research.
2. The lack of in-person experience.
B. Skills, knowledge and trainings needed before the (Virtual) OJT
Based on what I experienced during my Virtual OJT the required skills
you needed before the OJT are:
1. Computer literacy, you should be able to operate AutoCad,
Microsoft word.
2. Basic knowledge on Designs, and Load Computing for
Electrical Plan.
3. Research skills.
C. Recommendation to improve student’s preparedness during
(Virtual) OJT
Students should improve research skills, problem solving, reading
comprehension, since everything is done through online. They should
have a basic knowledge in AutoCad and electrical layout. And most
importantly, don’t forget to check Gmail and Gclass everyday.

IX. Summary and Recommendation
Virtual OJT has its Ups and Downs.
Virtual OJT helped me improve my time managing skills. Since
we have the flexibility of working hours for each Task at hand, though
it can backfire if a student has problems with time management.
The only downside of Virtual OJT is the lack of in-person
experience and the actual knowledge and feedbacks, as well as the
supervision and training you get from the experienced persons you
get to work with in the field.
