Part 1
1. What’s your favourite kind of weather?
To be honest, there's no weather that I don't like. They all have their advantages and
disadvantages and they have their own beauty as well. If I had to choose, I would choose a cold
winter, though. I think my choice is different from the majority. If summer makes people feel
active and comfortable, winter makes me feel warm. Sounds a bit paradoxical, doesn't it? I felt it
when I wrapped myself in a thick cotton coat and I was embraced by the cold wind. That's why I
feel warm in the cold winter. It also helps me feel at peace, literally.
2. Does the weather influence your mood?
Without a doubt. On a wet day, I like working with a cup of my favorite drink, which my mother
made for me. It would be much better if I could be immersed in the sound of the piano
combined with the rain. Working in hot weather is something I am weary. On those days, my
productivity will be significantly diminished.
3. Is it worse to feel too hot or too cold?
I would feel bad if it was too hot that day. Of course, I can not withstand in too cold weather,
but it is better to endure the cold weather than the hot one. What I really is to enjoy a weather
in twenty one degree Celsius.
4. Is the weather the same in all parts of your country?
Actually, no. The weather in Vietnam is divided into two regions: the North and the South. The
boundary is the Bach Ma range. The North has 4 seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter.
The seasons are distinctly different. The North is located at a higher latitude than the South, so it
is strongly influenced by the Northeast monsoon. In the South, there are only two seasons: the
rainy season and the dry season. It is closer to the equator, so the amount of radiation received
is greater than the north, and the southern weather is hotter. That’s what I have learned in
Geography last year.
Part 2
I prefer wintry weather, as I mentioned just a moment ago. Winter arrives in Nha Trang at the
end of October, yep, around this time, although winter arrives considerably earlier and is much
colder in the north. It rains almost every day. The fog is dense in high locations like Da Lat, and
Sapa used to have snow. Winter may also be a season for people to sleep better and realize the
importance of having a loved one by their side. In the cold of winter, I enjoy reading poetry. A
poem by William Shakespeare originally went like this:
“How like a winter hath my absence been
From thee, the pleasure of the fleeting year!
What freezing have I felt, what dark days seen!
What old December’s bareness every where!”
Isn't it so romantic? Perhaps it's because I'm a Literature student, I enjoy poetry reading. These
phrases make me feel like I'm speaking directly to myself. It also gives me a sense of calm. In the
winter, I enjoy listening to music as well as reading poems. Music has a significant influence on
me. It would be nice to relax while listening to jazz music, planning for the new day, and cooking
delicious cuisine with my Mom. Winter makes me feel as though I want to live and give more.
Part 3
1. What is the best way to accurate information about the weather?
We should be able to view the weather prediction, I believe. With today's current technology,
it's simple to get a weather prediction in a variety of methods, including listening to FM radio,
watching TV, browsing the Internet, and so on. Even that the National Center for Hydro-
Meteorological Forecasting has a high degree of accuracy in forecasting weather a week in
advance.
2. How easy or difficulty is it to predict the weather in your country?
I believe that forecasting the weather is not difficult with today's current technologies.
Meteorologists now have a combination of different approaches and mathematical trajectory
system to analyse and prepare the weather forecast. However, I believe we should not be overly
reliant on weather forecasts. Because it's only a forecast. And the accuracy seldom approaches
100 percent, so we must also be cautious and meticulous in our preparations, including planning
for the worst-case event.
3. How does the climate of a place affect the design of buildings that are built there?
If the climate is hot, the engineers must construct buildings that are as cool as possible. People
in the tropics typically construct their houses with numerous air holes, skylights, huge windows.
A house can have a lot of windows, and the engineer must calculate the sun's and wind's
direction. The majority of the structures have air-conditioner. In temperate climates, particularly
those with snow, builders frequently construct triangular roofs to prevent snow accumulation.
They frequently make use of a heating system, which is normally found in the center of the
house or in the living room.
4. Do you think fighting global climate change is a governmental responsibility or the
responsibility of individuals?
Many hands, as the adage goes, make light work. It will undoubtedly work if everyone, including
governments and individuals, works together. Of course, the government will formulate the
policies and initiate the movement for the individuals to implement. When both of them work
together, they'll obtain results.
