PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT – Summative Test – 1st Quarter

How can you describe yourself as an object? And why?

 If I can compare myself to an object, I would rather be a stone. Stone can

undergo changes but still remains intact and strong. In life, we must be tough as stone.
Just like stones, different problems will come just like them facing different weathers.
This might affect us but let us use our bravery to be tough on such situations. We must
learn how to endure in life.
 a wall is not easy to fall in any wind of difficulties and a wall is strong and not
easy to break
 For me the mirror, because it shows your true image. It does not hide your age,
your wrinkles, and your fears. It does not usually give pretty pictures, but it gives that
realistic picture of you, which lets you know where you are now.  And that is what you
see with me, I don't indulge in flattery nor do I indulge in excessive criticism. Ask me
what I think about you, and I give you the true picture, not too positive, not too negative.
Just the real you, sometimes it may not be too flattering, and I have been on the
receiving end for showing the true picture.
 A mirror is what I see myself as. Everyday when you get up in the morning, the
mirror is what shows your true image. It does not hide your age, your wrinkles your
fears. It does not usually give pretty pictures, but it gives that realistic picture of you,
which lets you know where you are now.
 Mirror can represent yourself. Every time you look at the mirror you will always
see the true you. What you see is the reflection of your true self. But don't be
disappointed of what you see instead, love and accept because that is you. Don't be
afraid to look on the mirror because you think that you are ugly, you have too much
pimple. Change how you view on yourself. Be a mirror that always shows the real
reflection.
 A Ball, Even though I am tired that someone always playing with me in a battle. It
doesn’t mean that I stop and not learn from it. I will always bear in my mind thou it is
hard I keep fighting and believing
 Book - It is the object that I could compare my personality, myself with. I am
sometimes an open book wherein you can see right through me and sometimes a close
book. And also, the reason I chose this is because I can assure everyone that if you try
to understand me, you can see another or different world
 If I had the chance to become an object I would like to be a camera, a digital
camera to be specific. Because I can capture the beautiful scenarios and places in the
world, I can keep them in my memory and share them with the world!

Because a Camera, Just like me, i like to capture the beautiful moments of my life and
share them to my friends and family.

 If I were to pick an object to represent myself that would be a glass, because I'm
sensitive most likely my heart is and when the glass breaks it changes just like me
though people changes but not all.
 A pearl, I’m small, round, and feminine. I come from an exotic location and have
a tough exterior. I’m introverted and like to chill by myself. At the same time once you
extract me and place me in another setting, I work well with others.

I had a rough beginning but it made me who I am today.

 A Book.

We can easily judge a book based on its cover or appearance. We commonly picked a
book that looks interesting to us and leave those that look boring to read. This is
like some people judge me. People will not able to know my real character if they didn’t
have time spent with me, just like how people ignore a book that is not pleasing for them
without even opening and reading it.
If someone tries to know me better and hear my story, they would see my real beauty
and understand my real situation. Every book has its own story and every page of
the book has an impact to the story. If one of the pages teared off and some parts of
the story are gone, we are not be able to fully understand what happen to the story. Just
like how people easily tell something about you without knowing every important detail
about you. They can say that they understand your situation but the truth is not.

So, whenever we are about to meet a person that we didn’t know yet, don’t easily judge
them and says any bad comments about them because we didn’t know what he/she is
going through. Be kind and spread positive vibe!

What have you learned and realized from the lesson in self development? How
are you going to apply these learning’s in your daily life?

Answer:

I’ll never forget this piece of advice I was given very early in my career – we are
responsible for our own personal development; no one else can do it for you. Other
people might contribute to the process, but it is up to you to ensure that you are
growing, learning, and becoming better each day. It is YOUR responsibility to seek out
resources, ask questions, and find inspiration

ANSWER:

My experience in taking personal development as a course or subject assist me to

become the better or best version of myself by which; I have learned a lot of things
about me including how important the people I love to me and how can affect me
physically and mentally. I have realized that I can still change for the better and there
are things that constantly change and develop as we grow old. There are things that
must be left in the past for these things you cannot control and renew. Scars from our
past can effectuate us to grow and learn. Experiences can leads us to maturity while
maturity can bring adulthood and full growth. Studying this subject can help me to
monitor my mental and physical health. Personal development is about improving the
relationship with yourself. It at least normally starts there. When you improve the
relationship with yourself, we are naturally drawn to our relationships we already have
with others also improves. The people I attract are also more likely to be better for me. I
attract people who are at my level so once I start raising my level, the people who come
into my life are going to be at my higher level. Personal development can also be
dedicated to improving relationships with others whether it be intimate relationships,
friends and family, work relationships, or relationships to people and communities.
Relationships and communication are topics within personal development. With more
happiness, better relationships, achievements, and a better you, your quality of life
improves. Your life becomes richer in either or both the physical sense and the
metaphorical sense. For me, the main goal our personal development is to be happier.
Naturally, when we improve ourselves, our life, our relationships, achieve our goals, we
become happier. This doesn’t always happen right away or all the time, but it happens
in time with consistent and deliberate personal development.

ANSWER:

“Personal Development covers activities that improve awareness and identity, develop
talents and potential, build human capital and facilitate employability, enhances the
quality of life and contribute to the realization of dreams and aspirations.

I have learned in the subject personal development that in order to achieve our
satisfaction and needs in life we must put love and efforts to anything that we do in
order for us to grow mentally and that’s the spirit of how we develop ourselves, we also
need to maintain our mental health because sometimes we feel pressure and tiredness
when we gave our best to what we do, to fight stress that can lead to depression which
is known or common in our country.
