HOMEROOM GUIDANCE – Q1 – MODULE 4 (ME AND MY DECISIONS)
LET’S TRY THIS:
The importance of decision making, you can draw at one side of the paper a happy face and at
the other side is a sad or worried face.
Explanation:
Committing a right and a wrong decision can greatly affect our lives but one this is for sure, we
learn from it.
When we have committed the right decision, we tend to get excited and very happy with the
outcome of what we have decided. It excites us and we want to do more because we have
proven that what we did is beneficial for ourselves. Making the right decision can also be a sign
of independence. We can decide already the right things without the advice of elders or experts.
We can already rely on our personal judgment. That is why we can draw a happy face on the
right side of the paper.
On the other hand, committing a wrong decision gives us a very important lesson that will be
engraved in our hearts for the rest of our life depending on the level of the lesson it provides.
We are so worried about the time we used and the energy it causes. It makes us sad that the
decision we have made is something that does not satisfy us. This is the reason why we have to
draw a worried face or sad face because this is our primary reaction when we found out that our
decision is wrong.
1.) My Right decision – she borrowed money from me to buy medicine for his son. But the
Wrong decision that I make, when I have already charged the money owed. She thinks I’m
wrong and she still angry to me and she said I’m stupid.
2.) Yes, I will never lend money next time and if I help others it’s just foods or goods that I give
them.
3.) To commit a wrong decision as long as you learned from it and you won't do it again
because you will be thinking about your decision multiple times before putting it into action as to
not repeat the same mistake again
LET’S EXPLORE THIS:
Remember more about your experiences in making right and wrong decisions. At the
back of the same paper, explain the situations where each image reflects. Make your
answer in essay format guided by the following pointers.
• What was running in your head when you were in that situation?
• What did you feel about the situation?
1
• What did you do about the situation?
• How did your body react to the situation?
The time I made the right decision, happy to feel that you made the right decision. I decided to
review and study well what was learned in school before taking the final exam. As a result, I
thought of a perfect score and it was so good to feel that the lesson I worked so hard for turned
out well. The time I made the wrong decision, when my elder sister was talking to us. My
decision to answer and say some wrong words that hurt my younger sister, I was sad when our
argument ended and my body could not bear to come over and apologize to my younger sister.
In making decisions is not that easy. Many things come up in your mind.Like, if you are in the
situation you need to do the right thing but there is one person who will be hurt. You will think
about his or her feeling. You would feel nervous because of what that person will be react on
your decision. If your decision is final and do the right thing, you must prepare on what will be
the consequences.
Processing Questions:
1. What insights did you get from both the experiences of making a right and a wrong decision?
2. What changes did both decisions make in your life?
3. If given a chance, would you still do the same decisions? Why or why not?
Answer:
1. Your future depends on your decision.
Some of the insights I learned from making a right and a wrong decision is that whatever the
consequences are, we should be responsible with our actions. It is necessary to think multiple
times before making a decision in order to avoid regretting it at a later time.
2. It taught me realizations and good decision making.
3. No, because I know it won't be good and won't have a great future for me.
If given the chance, I would still make the same right decision since it is already right. For the
wrong decisions that I made, I will choose to do the right thing instead.
YOU CAN DO IT!
Decision I've made in the past that I consider wrong:
*Disobeying my parents
- choosing rebellion
2
- choosing not taking seriously in pursuing my dreams
- choosing selfishness
- choosing to live cruelty
What could have happened if the course of action was different?
* I am now close to my dreams and making my parents proud.
Being a normal person, there's a lot of things we do that in the first place we couldn't see the
result in return. In life, we consider that a family is most precious that we should treasure the
most. Nothing can compare and describe how we loved and valued them. Disobeying our
parents is not acknowledgeable in our society because they are the one who mold us in the first
place, who teaches us how to become a better person. Disobeying is a form of disrespecting. It
is common to us for not listening to their guidance sometimes, but just then, the first thought
they uttered to us is the beginning of directing us to the right path we should take. No one in this
world can a parents lead their children in the wrong path of the success in life. If I only knew this
would happened and if I only apply all the ways in the previous lesson, I am now to reach my
dreams successfully without fear and doubt. Disobeying my parent's guidance is a failure
because the decision I've chosen by not obeying them failed me at all.
