Many problems also confront the LGBTQ+ of Philippines, including outright bigotry, the majority's
heteronormative condition, moral questions, identity standardization, and LGBTQ+ stereotypes. Because
of the teachings of numerous churches, most Filipinos still believe that men are only for women. In the
Philippines, there is a lot of LGBTQ+ misrepresentation, such as gays falling in bed with straight friends,
lesbians who are still masculine, gays being murdered in horror movies, and so on.
One of the country's most important for the LGBTQ+ community is that the definition of SOGIE (sexual
orientation, gender identification, and expression) is not taught in schools. Sex, who you are drawn to,
and your gestures and shapes can all be separated using the SOGIE paradigm. Even though there are
those in the Philippines who are opposed to the belief due to the country's history, we must understand
and embrace those new ideas. However, we must improve people's understanding of SOGIE so that they
can expand their perspectives on gender, sexuality, and sex.
It has now become fashionable for a man to be clumsy or to hide his clumsiness while he is drawn to
another man. Because we must remember SOGIE, not everyone is like this.
Even though some claim that LGBTQ+ are becoming more inspired today, our LGBTQ+ brothers and
sisters continue to have many traumatic encounters.
We ought to consider their life stories and struggles, as well as their personalities, to expand our minds,
which are not limited to heterosexual men and women. Hopefully, one day, the LGBTQ+ will be
completely embraced, not just tolerated, since LGBTQ+ are also human beings and deserve to be
recognized and treated fairly, regardless of their sexual identity or gender.
