Script-Cubical Worlplace

Manners and the Art of

Diplomacy

Introduction
Good Morning everyone we are Group 3 and we will be enacting on the topic Cubical
Workplace Manners and the Art of Diplomacy.
Cubicle etiquette is a set of unwritten rules that exist in the workplace and help
govern how people behave when they work in close quarter.
Without further ado lets understand this concept with the first scene.
We’ve got Rohan, Albert, Abhishek and Vaibhav who are 4 coworkers working in a
cubical workspace.

Scene 1:-
Right scene
Abhishek,: (oncall) close knock knock coming
Vaibhav: may come in Abhishek
Abhishek : yeah just coming but hold on for a minute , have a seat
Abhishek : what do you want to talk about?
Vaibhav: I need some help with the report can you help me write it
Abhishek: I am a bit busy right now but we will work on it together later
Vaibhav: thank you for the help sorry for interrupting your call
Abhishek : no worries thank you for waiting
Wrong scene:-
Albert: (in shabby manner) bangs the door
Rohan : (oncall)
Albert : bro Rohan do you know what
Rohan : what what tell
Albert: “bro I just saw a hot girl on Tinder man!
Rohan: man who is it??
Albert : none other than labiba brooo
Rohan : Is this the what you wanted to have, please walk out you fool
Albert : Calm down bro
Rohan: man just get out!
Albert: Rohan Rohan
Rohan: walk out
Now, we’ve seen 2 scenarios. Can you tell me which scenario is to be followed in a cubical
workplace? OK so then can you all tell me why did you feel that the other scenario was
wrong
As you can see Albert has been shabbily dressed while coming to the office. He banged the
door and he entered. One should keep in mind that they should knock the door before
entering another person’s cubicle.
Scene two
Avoid speaker phones

Paras: What is all this noise ( someone throws food) oh my God this is so much too much
Rishi : we have to complain to the boss this is too Inappropriate can you slowdown the
music please
Madhav: ha ha! We can’t if you are getting irritated please get up and go home
Anvitha: yeah man get out minute on business get lost!!
Here we come to a conclusion with scene 2, one must ensure that they should avoid making
loud noises and littering the surroundings.

Scene 3: Disagreement between boss and worker (right scene) Krish- Boss

Albert- “I am really upset regarding the promotion and salary hike”
Krish- “Yes, no issues lets discuss about this right now”
Albert-“in this covid scenario its been really hard for me but I made sure that this would not
affect my productivity. I worked hard but the company did not reward me with anything.

Please do take this into consideration.”

Krish- “I Know these time were really hard for the employees as well as for the company but
I cant neglect the work u did. I will look forward to place you as a department head in the
near future.”
