Sacred Silence

HEAR ME, O SACRED SILENCE

FROM MYSELF WHO I DON'T
WANT TO BE
DECISIONS THAT I CAN'T FORESEE
O SACRED SILENCE, LET ME SEE

FINDING MYSELF IS THE WAY I GET

LOST
KNOWING MORE, YET WHAT DID IT
COST
IMPERFECTIONS, DOUBT, AND ALL
OF MY FLAWS
CAN'T SEEM TO BE BOTHERED AT
ALL

HE STOOD IN FRONT OF ME
CRYING WHILE SMOKING A
CIGARETTE
TELLING ME THAT IT KILLS HIM
SMOKING IT
BUT TELLS ME, KILLS HIM MORE
WHEN I'M NOT WITH HIM

MAYBE I WAS AS DANGEROUS

AS A CIGARETTE
OR MAYBE EVEN WORSE
THINKING IT WAS HIS BAD
HABIT
MAYBE I WAS HIS BAD HABIT
TOO
