House On a Cost-Effective

Interior design allows me to be creative and gives me the
oppurtunity to learn and build new skills.
I enjoy challenges which in this case could include the space, clients
needs, or the budget.
Recently moving and starting fresh was the perfect opurtunity for
myself to step up and put in all the ideas I had envisioned.
Buying My House
September 2021
When house shopping the main goal was to
find an open concept floor plan. Which is a
great choice for those who want to create the
appearance of more space. Having no walls
between your rooms allows for better
entertaining and can help make your home
more social.
This would be my ideal house for Brookswood, but almost 2.5 million is
a bit pricey!
Needing Renoes...
• While there are plenty of properties on the market
that most people would be happy to move into
straightaway, buying a property still in need of
renovation will give people the extra flexibility
they need to create their perfect home.
• Rather than building your own house, which don’t
get me wrong would be the ultimate dream its
very costly this day and age.
• So, finding a well-built, nice layout house that
needs some updates you can customize to your
wants will be significantly cheaper.
This house didn't
match my family's
style! But it was a
well-built house with
lots of potential.
Cluttered Living Environment:
• Living in a messy, dirty environment can lead
to stress and anxiety.
• Many people report that a cluttered and chaotic
living space can result in a cluttered and chaotic
mind.
• You can often improve your mental health and
your mood simply by switching to a minimalist
lifestyle.

First Step For Interior Design:
• The walls were too dark, making the area feel a little
gloomy which is not giving the bright open look I was going
for.
• I decided on painting all the walls grey. All paint colors can
be warm or cool toned, but grey runs a wide range
between warm and cool.
• That means there are plenty of ways to use grey paint to
set an overall tone in your home. The right shade can
brighten up a space and let you achieve luxury, airy and
spa-like spaces.

Why Choose One Color
in Every Room?
• Using one color is considered ideal for
allowing the flow of color from room
to room. Giving your interior space
enhanced energy flow for improved
mental health and feeling.
• For the cost side of things, it can be
less expensive to have just one color
painted or sprayed throughout a
home, and professional painters do
often recommend it for that reason.

Obviously painting everything yourself would
be much cheaper, but that’s a lot of labour
work and could look tacky if not done
properly.
Cost effective Going for one colour throughtout the house
painting helped keep the cost down.
We also had 2 quotes done by
different painting companies, and went for
the cheaper one.

refreshed style or if you are simply
looking for a way to change things
up, having the doors painted can be
a great option for changing the
entire look of your home.
• Again, trying to eliminate the dark
colors by choosing to paint the
doors white. A total of 30 doors
were painted, this really made a
difference in every room.

Over-all why is interior design
so important?
• If you like entertaining, creating a good first impression is
important if you want your guests to feel comfortable in
your home.
• Good interior design can help you make the most out of
your space by incorporating natural light and allowing the
rooms to flow together.
• Having designs crafted to you and your tastes, can put you
in a positive mood. This is why poorly constructed or
cluttered spaces have the opposite effect, making us feel
more unmotivated, even leading to anxiety problems in
some cases.
