MDB Pre-Commissioning Checklist


1). Check the name plates as per drawing and relevant specification
2). Ensure Physical and mechanical condition satisfactory

3). All insulators and insulation materials are physically inspected and are clean and free from damage.

4). Circuit breakers and compartments are as per drawings and satisfactory.
5). Sheet metal and painted surfaces are in good order and free from damage.
6). Moving parts are sufficiently lubricated as per manufacturer's instructions.
7). Current transformer name plates and details are as per drawings
8). Installed switchgear matches single line diagrams, schematics and equipment schedules.
9). Bolt torques is checked within the assembly and QC marks are visible.
10). Any accessories and special tools are supplied and stored.
11). Ensure the panel is clean and free of foreign matter.
12). Check filters for proper fitment and ensure vent chambers are clear.

13). Carry out an inspection of the mounting arrangements and ensure the panel is level, square and aligned

14). Check alignment of tiers and check adjacent tiers are fixed securely together
15). Ensure cable ways are clear of foreign matter.
16). Ensure bus bar chambers are clear of foreign matter.
17). Check the operation of CB's interlocks
18). Satisfactory operation of rack out and rack in equipment.
19). Satisfactory operation of door locks and any other locking facilities
20). Smooth operation and alignment of doors, hinges and escutcheons
21). Torqueing of transit bolts to be carried out and recorded
