• McCann, formerly McCann Erickson, is an American global advertising


agency network, with offices in 120 countries.
• McCann is part of McCann Worldgroup, along with several other agencies,
including direct Digital Marketing agency MRM//McCann, experiential
marketing agency Momentum Worldwide, healthcare marketing group
McCann Health, branding firm FutureBrand, and public-relations and
strategic-communications agency Weber Shandwick.
• McCann Worldgroup, along with agency networks MullenLowe and FCB,
make up The Interpublic Group of Companies (IPG), one of the four
large holding companies in the advertising industry
History
• The century-long story of McCann Erickson is not just one of “we were
there.” Rather, it’s about the pivotal and innovative role we played in the
creation and development of all of these above elements that define today’s
global advertising industry
• The modern McCann Erickson is the result of a 1930 merger in New York between
two early leading agencies, The H. K. McCann Company, which had opened its
doors in 1912 with “Truth Well Told” as its enduring creative philosophy, and The
Erickson Company, which had been founded in 1902.
• The two agency principals themselves were industry pioneers whose
contributions encompassed establishing both the core general practices and
ethical guidelines of the industry.
• McCann Worldgroup (MW) was formed in 1997 as the parent company of
McCann and several other agencies, including MRM//McCann and Weber
Shandwick.
• It launched on this collaborative worldwide trajectory early on, opening in
Canada in 1915, in Europe in 1927, in Latin America in 1935, in Australia in 1959,
and in Asia in 1960.
• McCann Erickson operates 180 offices in more than 120 countries and boasts a
client roster that includes preeminent global marketers and many of the world’s

• Coca-Cola has released its summer campaign for the year. Conceptualised by
McCann Worldgroup India, the film features actors Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi
Kapoor.
• The film shows a tired Khatter on a hot summer day in a bus, being glared at by
the women around him. Kapoor offers him a thanda (Coca-Cola). A sip of it
changes the day for Khatter. He feels refreshed and the women who were glaring
at him are now looking at him with affection. Khatter looks around and asks
Kapoor is he's in a 'ladies special bus'. Kapoor flirtatiously calls Khatter special as
the duo stare at each other. The film ends with the voiceover stating 'khud ko
jagaa, ek thanda lagaa' (awaken yourself with a Coca-Cola).
• the campaign film brings into focus the brand’s concept of ‘Khud ko jagaa, ek
thanda lagaa’, and aims to create the beverage as the ‘perfect partner for when
the slump gets to you and you need a break’.

• Coca-Cola Australia has rolled out its new campaign “Turn Up Your
Break” this week via Ogilvy Sydney. The campaign will be led by a TVC
that encourages people to truly pause with a Coke on their break so
they can walk away feeling refreshed and uplifted
• The TVC features two busy chefs stepping outside for a break, the
bustling kitchen behind them, as one hands the other an icy-cold
Coke. The scene continues with the iconic “KSHHHH” sound of a
bottle of Coke being opened and with every sip the chefs get an
instant hit of refreshment. As the playful music kicks in, the chefs
mimic a delivery van with a collection of ‘lucky cats’ and start
dancing.
