Materials
One set of cards per group
Customize your worksheet by:
• Changing the names, photos, and other information.
• Adding text to represent other personality types.
• Including any additional vocabulary items that your students have learned.

Set-up (5 minutes)
Divide the class into groups of three or four. Write some adjectives from the cards (generous, outgoing, etc.) on the
board. Then write What kind of person do you like? on the board. Have the students ask each other. If necessary,
write I like people who are ___. as a model answer.
Procedure (20 minutes)
Give one set of cards to each group. Give students a few minutes to read the cards. Then have them match up the
people they think would make good friends and discuss why.
Have each group report to the rest of the class which women and men they matched up and why. Have them also
explain the match-ups they didn’t make and why.
Extension (10 minutes)
Have the students look at the cards again. In their groups, have them tell each other which person would be a good
friend for them and why.
