Slide 1: Welcome to Group’s 5 presentation!
Our topic today is about Tramission lines
and what we are going to discuss is
Slide 2: “ Why do we need modulation and multiplexing at the transmitter? “
Slide 3: First, we have to define the word “Modulation” and “Multiplexing”,
Slide 4: When we MODULATE signals, they will be shifted to a significantly higher
frequency range, before that, we have to select suitable modulation frequencies for the
signals.
Slide 5: After being modulated, we will move to the process call MULTIPLEXING by
combining multiple signals into one channel.
Slide 6: Then we will transmit it to the receive side where a similar station
demodulates the signals and extracts the various conversations before they are
transmitted in two- or four-wire circuits to another transit exchange.
Slide 7: Back to the first question, so why do we need modulation and multiplexing at the
transmitter?
Slide 8:If no modulation takes place and if you want to send the original message signal
directly ,there may be a chance of data loss, glitch/noise interferance in the original
message resulting in data loss.
The main reason for modulation is to give signal strength to travel longer distances and
protect the data from external interferances.
Slide 9: Multiplexing is also necessary since sending many signals separately is
expensive and requires more wires to send,
Then it is essential because the user will be able to easily divide the channel as per their
selection.
Slide 10: That’s the end of our presentation, thank you for listening!
