Dear Neighbour,

I do hope you and your family are doing well in these tough times. I am writing this letter to ask your
opinion on a question: “How do we know that God cares for us?”.

It is a pressing question, especially during this pandemic. Some may think that the fact that they are
going through hard time means, God doesn’t truly care about them. However, I’d like to offer the bible’s
view point on this question.

The scripture at Matthew 20:29-31 states “29Two sparrows sell for a coin of small value, do they not?
Yet not one of them will fall to the ground without your Father’s knowledge, But even the hairs of your
head are all numbered. So have no fear; you are worth more than many sparrows.” This scripture is
meant to reassure us of God’s care for us.

If the all-powerful God notices a single sparrow that falls and we are worth more than many sparrows,
surely God takes notice of our problems and cares about us and what we are going through.

So if you ever feel that God doesn’t care you remember that God knows every hair on your head, he
takes notice of you and cares.

But is caring all he does? How God helps you to cope with your problems right now is a topic that you
