ACTIVITY I
Assessment
1. Compare and contrast the male and the female genitalia.
2. Draw a mind map showing the progression of the male and female from birth,
puberty and adulthood.
MALE EXTERNAL GENITALIA
Penis
-Root, Body/Shaft, Glans
Shaft – formed by three columns of vascular erectile tissue (Corpus Spongiosum,
Urethra, and 2 Corpora cavernosa)
- Corpus spongiosum extends from the bulb/base up until the cone-shaped glans with
its expanded base or corona
Urethra – posterior or ventral side
Male reproductive organ – penis
Penis engorged with blood – erection
Scrotum
-Structure which contains sweat and sebaceous glands
-Protect or cover the testicles, the epididymis and vas deferens
-To help maintain at least less than 37 degrees Celsius for the production of sperm
Cremaster muscles – contracts when too cold and raises the scrotum upward for
warmth. When it’s too hot, it relaxes and it lowers the scrotum away from the heat of the
body.
Scrotum—regulates the temperature of the testicles
MALE INTERNAL GENITALIA
Testicles/Testes
-Tunica vaginalis serous membrane covering testicles except the posterior part
-Paired ovoid glands that consists primarily of seminiferous tubules
-Produce sperm cells and testosterone
Epididymis
-Store sperm cells
Vas deferens
Semen – fluid that is ejaculated from the penis
Urethra – tube that brings semen and urine out of the body
Testicles, epididymis, vas deferens, and urethra – path of the sperm during ejaculation

Prostate Gland- consists of two lobes and separated by a shallow groove called the medial
sulcus
FEMALE EXTERNAL GENITALIA
Mons Pubis – covered by pubic hair, serves as a protection
Labia Majora – outer lips of vagina
Labia Minora – inner lips of the vagina
Clitoris – female erectile tissue between the labia
Vestibule – boat-shaped fossa between the labia minora
FEMALE INTERNAL GENITALIA
Vagina – lies almost right-angle with uterus
- Female organ of intercourse
Cervix – produces into the vagina
- Opening of the uterus
Uterus – body, fundus, isthmus
Ovaries – almond-shaped glands, produce egg cells and secrete female hormones.
Fallopian tubes – isthmus, ampulla, infundibulum, fimbriae

WHAT IS AN IDEAL CONTRACEPTIVE?
An ideal contraceptive ought to be one that does not interfere with the couple's standard
sexual urges. It should have no effect on libido. It should be simple to use. A perfect
contraceptive should be both efficacious and piecewise.
a. The features of an ideal contraceptive are:
1. It should be easily usable by both males and females.
2. It should be easily removable.
3. It should not have any side effects.
4. It should be inexpensive and cost-effective.
5. It should be effective for preventing sexually transmitted diseases or STDs.
ACTIVITY III
1. What do you often hear about sex?
As I grew older, I heard a lot about the detrimental consequences of sex, because
we were taught that sex is a very sensitive topic. Another thing we're used to
hearing is that avoiding teenage pregnancies is a top priority for us as students. To
be honest, I'm disappointed for my parental figures because I didn't learn an open
topic about sex because it is an urgent concern as I grow up; it's not the
experience but the openness of this issue in which I can avoid disease/s, where
virginity is not something that should be thrown, but I understand because parents
have authoritative parenting. I only found out about it at school, where they
gradually introduced the importance of sex education.
2. How to avoid the pressure to have sex.
Ways to Avoid the Pressure to have Sex
Hang out with friends who also believe that it's OK not to be ready for sex yet.
Go out with a group of friends rather than only your date.
Introduce your friends to your parents.

Invite your friends to your home.
Stick up for your friends if they are being pressured to have sex.
Think of what you would say in advance in case someone tries to pressure you.
Always carry money for a telephone call or cab in case you feel uncomfortable.
Be ready to call your mom, dad or a friend to pick you up if you need to leave a date.
Never feel obligated to "pay someone back" with sex in return for a date or gift.
Say "no" and mean "no" if that's how you feel.

1. Tabulate the different kinds of drugs and the risks involved in using them.
There are many types of commonly abused drugs that can produce a variety of effects, each
having risks associated with consuming them. These effects range from providing the person
with energy to relaxing them and producing feelings of euphoria or happiness. There may be
overlapping effects within the seven types of drugs. This overview discusses which specific drug
classes create certain effects. The different types of drugs include:
Stimulants speed up the nervous system
Depressants slow down the nervous system.
Opioids create a sense of euphoria and are habit-forming.
Hallucinogens and dissociative alter a person’s perception of reality.
Inhalants create a euphoric feeling, usually with household items ingested as gases or
fumes.
Cannabis has depressant-like effects and also acts as a hallucinogen.

Read the questions carefully and answer them as precisely yet as thoroughly possible.
1. As an adolescent, how can you avoid risky behaviors? Give an example.
Having a discipline allows me to prevent dangerous practices. To begin with, the majority of
youth who engage in risky behaviors have a family issue or a parent who does not concern about
their children. My parents, in my experience, are not overly strict; I'm allowed to drink and
overnight with my friends, but the one thing I can guarantee my parents is that I'll never break
the trust they have placed in me. Being raised by compassionate parents is wonderful, but I must
remember one rule: once I lose the openness or trust that they provide, they would never support
me fix the mess I have created.
So, it’s easy to avoid risky behavior, when someone ask you to try something, when you
already know the effects or impact of that thing in your life, don’t let your curiosity destroy you,
don’t let the peer pressure estimate the courage within yourself.
2. Subjective well-being connotes happiness. As a sexual being, how can you achieve your
subjective well-being? Give an example.
Subjective well-being connotes happiness, and as a sexual being, it can achieve our
subjective well-being by giving satisfaction in my life. If we say sexual being, it is directed to
intimacy, it could be your sexual feelings or behaviors towards other people. They could be
appearing as physically attractive or emotionally attractive. Just like every time I saw my
boyfriend, I find him perfect all the time, he could pinpoint his flaws, but for me, it’s his flaws
that makes him perfect, he felt loved after that, and he treats me the same. And that’s the time
that sexual being achieves the subjective well-being.
3. How do you show your intimate relationship with the following:
a. Family – I show my intimate relationship with my family, by saying I love them every day.
Since my mother is an OFW, there is no time that I forgot to tell her, how much I love her, and
how we value her efforts and sacrifices. I show my intimate relationship to my siblings by
hanging out with them, like watching movies, treating them with gifts and reminding them to
take care always. We usually say the word I love you to each other because our mother taught us
to be expressive at all times.
b. Best Friend – I show my intimate relationship with my best friend by sharing our problem to
each other, because we all know if we say, best friend, it is a different kind of openness that we
offer, we trust our best friend more our siblings sometimes. We shared different memes from

social media and we laugh together endlessly. We encourage each other when one of us feels like
giving up.
c. Friend (Boy) – I show my intimate relationship with my friend (boy) by inviting them every
occasion, and then talk to random stuffs, we shared funny moments, stories and experiences of
yesterday.
d. Friend (Girl) – In every occasion, just like I mentioned above, I’m drink occasionally, but only
when I am with my girlfriends. So, we sing, we shared stories, we travel together and sleepover
every important occasion.
e. Classmate – I shared my intimate relationship with my classmate by exchanging each other’s
learnings, we discuss what we interpreted from the discussion. We sleep late because of
unending activities, they are the one who gives hope in terms of academic, because they relate or
they understand the struggle especially when you have the same habits in learning.
Assessment:
1. Choose one of the dimensions of well-being and gather articles from academic
journals or websites suggesting how to maintain wellness in this dimension.
I have chosen emotional dimension. Emotional well-being includes the ability to
manage your feelings and related behaviors, cope effectively with stress and adapt
to change. This dimension focuses on awareness and acceptance of stressors and
feelings, both positive and negative. According to (Langeland 2014), having a positive
sense of well-being can be looked both as the experience of emotions and as a regulation
of the emotions. According to (Liz Ferron 2016), "A positive sense of well-being enables
an individual to be able to function in society and meet the demands of everyday life;
people in good mental health have the ability to recover effectively from illness, change
or misfortune."
2. Create an info graph summarizing your understanding of psychosocial well-being
discussed in this lesson.
Dimensions of well-being Definition
Physical Physical/ biological health
Emotional Positive feelings; mood stability
Mental clarity of mind; healthy thought process
Material Available and adequate financial and
other resources
Social Healthy and positive interaction and
relationship with others

Contemplate.
A. Traits that might attract you B. Traits that might convince you to
towards someone commit into a long term stable
relationship
The traits that might attract me towards God-fearing is the quality that will convince
someone is the goodness in their heart. I me to be committed. According to Proverbs
believe that the real beauty is in the inside, the 31:30, Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain,
outside one is just a bonus. but a woman who fears the LORD is to be
praised. I will stay committed to someone
who Loves the Lord above anyone else.
Collaborate: ask about the love story of any adult in the house. Summarize what you
learned by a song.
The love story is about the two old people now in our barangay. They experienced may
hardships but they managed to be strong. There are many reasons for them to separate but they
chose to stay.
True Love
You know that its fake
When risks are something he doesn’t want to take
You know that it’s true
When despite of the hardships, the sky is still blue
If there are reasons to let, go
But there is one reason to hold on though
She stayed, choose you above
When she holds on, that’s true love
Assessment:
1. Identify one of the theories of love which you are most interested with and explain
this theory using a collage.
Sternberg’s Triangular Theory of Love
Psychologist Robert Sternberg describes love based on combinations of three
components: passion, intimacy, and commitment. When two people share all three, they
are said to be in a state of consummate love. This combination is considered to be an
ideal type of love, but is also relatively difficult to maintain for a long period of time.
