Analysis of Math Test Results

Overall, by analyzing the class average (66%) and the table showing how many students

scored 50% or lower compared to the rest of the scores, most of the class didn’t do well on the

test. Out of 16 students, over half failed the test. The subjects covered will have to be reviewed

again before moving on. Three students that did well are Cody, Juan, and Hugh, scoring a 93%,

100%, and 80%. Looking closer into the specific topics they scored highly on, Cody understood

all of the subtraction questions and 80% of the addition questions. Oppositely, Hugh got all the

addition questions correct and 80% of the subtraction. Since Juan scored a 100%, he excelled in

all subjects. Students who need more support are Luke, Claire, and Nathan. All three scored

under 50% on the test. In both topics of addition and subtraction, all three got 40% of the

questions correct.
