Organizational behavior is important for developing understanding between management and employees. It influences how employees interact, communicate, and collaborate, which are key for an organization's success in achieving short and long-term goals as well as improving productivity, job satisfaction, and experience. There are four elements of organizational behavior - people, structure, technology, and environment. Organizational behavior can be studied at the micro, meso, and macro levels which focus on individuals, groups, and the overall organization respectively. Some problems organizational behavior aims to solve include lack of clear direction, poor communication, and lack of feedback within an organization.

1. Why Is Organizational Behavior Important?

Organizational behavior is very significant to develop an understanding between


management and employees in a organization, such as business. For me, the most
successful business are the ones who know how to improve the effectiveness and
efficiency of your workforce.These influences the way how employees interact,
communicate, and collaborate is the key for organization’s success and on achieving
short and long-term goals to drive the performance, not just on improving productivity
but also the job satisfaction and worth while experience in the organization.

2. What are the 4 Elements of Organizational Behavior?

PEOPLE - refer to the employee working individually or as a group in an organization.


STRUCTURE - means the roles and relationship of those within the organization. The
officer and staff have to connect structurally so that they can work efficiently.
TECHNOLOGY - in this Modern age, it is an essential resource and equipment to the
employee for doing their work more efficiently.
ENVIRONMENT - this is the business environment. Every organization has to work on
the internal and external environment.

3. What are the 3 levels of organizational behavior?


Micro (the individual level) - studies the behavior of an individual person such as
his/her attitudes, motivation, perception, personality, values, ethics, satisfaction, and
other personal traits.
Meso (the group level) - studies the behavior of people at the group level, how groups
work, why they interact in group work, collaboration, group decisions, etc.
Macro (the organizational level) - studies how people interact with organizational
structure, and how the external environment forces interact with the organization.

4. What are some common problems that organizational behavior tries to solve?

There is no such thing as perfect in the organization. It is a work in progress.There are a


lot of organizational problems that may arise in the long run. There are problems like
there is no clear direction or vision in the organization, having a common goal there
should be a clear instruction or direction that an organization is going. Also, lack of
communication, avoid shouting or yelling at your subordinates. Since communication is
an essential to be more effective and efficient. And feedback is also important to keep
others motivated at the same time. There are a lot of things that organization behavior
tries to solve for the organization to run smoothly, each and everyone should look into it.
