REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST TO BE AN SACPCMP ASSESSOR

The South African Council of the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) is a
juristic person established by Section 2 of the Project and Construction Act (Act No. 48 of 2000). It has
been established to advance Construction Management and Project Management education, provide
for statutory professional certification and regulation of Project and Construction Management
Professions to project the public interest.

The SACPCMP now wishes to increase its current pool of assessors and it is in this vein that it is now
asking for expressions of interest from registered Professional Construction Health and Safety Agent
and Construction Health and Safety Managers who meet the criteria as stipulated herein.

1. REQUIREMENTS FOR ELIGIBILITY TO BE CONSIDERED AS AN ASSESSOR


1.1 All assessors must have obtained the SAQA registered unit standards, ‘‘Conduct outcomes-
based assessments’’ and “Design and develop outcomes-based assessments
1.2 Assessors must show competence in relation to the standards and qualifications,
competency framework and designation against which they assess applicants, at (or
preferably above) the level of the standards and qualifications in question
1.3 All assessors must be registered with the Council as a professional or have full registration in
case of specified categories
1.4 All assessors must have a minimum of seven (7) years relevant, unbroken, industry
experience.
1.5 Assessors must apply for appointment using the application form
1.6 Assessors will have to adhere to the Code of Conduct for Assessors

2. REQUIREMENTS FOR ELIGIBILITY TO BE CONSIDERED AS AN MODERATOR


2.1 Moderators who are appointed by assessment providers and the Council should be
experienced assessors who other assessors have confidence in
2.2 All moderators must have obtained the SAQA registered unit standard “Conduct moderation
of outcomes-based assessments”
2.3 They should also have undergone training in moderation
2.4 They should have good knowledge of the area of competency being assessed.
2.5 They should have good standing.
2.6 They should have unquestionable skill in the standards, competency framework and
assessment practices.
2.7 Moderators must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as an assessor, according to the
criteria described in section 1.1 above
2.8 Moderators must have a high level of personal, interpersonal and communication skills
2.9 Moderators must apply for appointment using the application form shown in Annexure B
2.10 Moderators will have to adhere to the Code of Conduct for Moderators

3. GENERAL INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS

I. Expressions of Interest must be received before the close of business on Thursday


the 20th of January 2022.
II. Those willing to send their expressions of interest must send completed application
form together with the updated resume and supporting documents. These should
be emailed to Ms Alida Reyneke ([email protected]).

Through this EOI process, the SACPCMP intends to find suitable, qualified, and interested registered
persons who could become potential assessors.
