I. PROJECT TITLE:
School-Based Science Activities and Academic Contests 2023
II. RATIONALE:
Based on DepEd MEMORANDUM No. 038, s. 2O22, the
NATIONAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY FAIR 2022, the advancement
in the various fields accentuated by technologies are at the forefront of
revolutionizing the approaches to transition to the new normal. This has
magnified the role of the sciences and research in providing specific and
alternative solutions to global issues and challenges.
In support to this aim of continuing to empower the youth and cultivate
innovation, creativity and application of knowledge and skills amid the
changing world, the School-Based Science Activities and Academic Contests
2023, anchored all its endeavors as part of the co-curricular activities to carry
out its objectives for a better learning outcomes.
This year’s theme: Agham at Teknolohiya: Kabalikat sa Maunlad at
Matatag na Kinabukasan, promotes the competence of the learners in
addressing community problems for sustainable development and to maximize
their potential of being inquisitive and creative in dealing with real-life
problems.
III. OBJECTIVES:
To provide opportunities to students and teachers to participate actively in
science – related activities to transfer knowledge and skills learned in the
classroom.
To foster integration, collaboration and camaraderie through academic
competition.
To raise scientific awareness on the current trend and issues in science and
technology in promoting “Agham at Teknolohiya: Kabalikat sa Maunlad at
Matatag na Kinabukasan”.
