Mr. Ra’ed is a 42-year-old male who has been experiencing chronic renal insufficiency for several
years. He is admitted to the hospital with the following lab values:
BUN: 105 Cr. 5.9 Current urine volume is approximately 250 mL
Ht: 175 cm Wt: 83 kg UBW: 80 kg before 2
months
Wt. after 1st dialysis: 80 kg
He is now diagnosed with end-stage renal disease and will be started on hemodialysis.
