I’ve gotten this question several times now from people just starting DAZ, so I figured I’d finally
buckle down and
make a simple tutorial on how to MANUALLY install DAZ Content that doesn’t support DIM.
The first step is to locate your content library. The easiest way to do this is to open DAZ, open your Content Library
tab, then hover over the list entry that says "My Daz 3D Library." A tool-tip will open up in a yellow box, showing you
where your Content Library is located on your computer.
Now you'll need to extract the files from the ZIP file you downloaded from Renderosity/DAZ/ShareCG/etc. Open the
extracted folder, and you should see something like this:
Once you locate the mentioned folders, select them all using Shift-select or CTRL-select and COPY them. Now you
need to navigate to where your content library is stored on your computer, similar to the following image, and
PASTE the folder(s)/file(s) into this folder.
After pasting the folder(s)/file(s), re-open DAZ (or refresh your Content Library in DAZ - if you don't know how to do
this, just close and re-open DAZ). Navigate to the location of your newly-installed content, like in the following
image.
That should get you set and ready to use your brand-spankin-new content!
If this tutorial didn’t help you install your content, email me at [email protected] for further guidance!
Please consider sharing this PDF with anyone you think might benefit from it!
Happy rendering! =D

show your support!
