Notes

DEFINITIONS:

★ Hard Copy: A printed output of a document or an image is called a hard copy.


★ Zoom Slider Bar: Zoom Slider Bar is a slider that allows users to zoom in and out of a
document.
○ Position: At the bottom right corner of the preview section.
★ Navigation Bar: Navigation Bar helps us to view each page of the document we want to
print.
○ Position: At the bottom left corner of the preview section.
★ Collated & Uncollated: Collated & Uncollated option is used when we want to print
more than one copy of a document.
○ Collated: Collated option prints the document in proper order.
○ Uncollated: Uncollated option prints the document separately.
★ Print All Pages: This option is used to print the entire document.
★ Print Selection: This option is used to print only the selected text from the document.
★ Print Current Page: This option is used to print only the current page of your document.
★ Print Custom Range: This option is used to print the specified range of pages from the
document. Ex- 3-5 , 8-10
★ Printer Properties: This option is used to change the properties of your computer.

PRINTING AND PREVIEWING DOCUMENT:


➔ Click on the File tab, and then select the Print option.
➔ Preview of your document automatically appears on the right side of the window.
➔ To view each page, click on the arrow present on the Navigation Bar.
➔ You can magnify the view of the page by using the Zoom Slider Bar at the bottom right
corner of the page.

CONTROLLING PRINTING:

➔ Click on the File tab, and then select the Print option.
➔ Choose the printer from the Printer drop down list.
➔ Enter the number of copies in the Copies box.
➔ Under the Setting section, select Print All Pages to get the printout of the entire
document.
➔ If you want more than one copy of a document, you can choose between the Collated
and Uncollated options under the Settings section.
➔ Collated option prints the document in proper order and Uncollated option prints the
document separately.
➔ Once completed, click on the Print option.

PRINTING SPECIFIC PAGES:

➔ Open the print dialogue box.


➔ Click on the Print All Pages option under Settings.
➔ A list of options appears. Select the required option.
◆ Select the Print All Pages options to print the entire document.
◆ select the Print Selection option to print only the selected text from the
document.
◆ Select Print Current Page option to print only the current page of your
document.
◆ Select the Print Custom Range option to print the specified range of pages from
the document.
