I. INTRODUCTION
Literacy is most defined as the ability to read and write. But beyond the functional level,
literacy plays a vital role in transforming students into socially engaged citizens. Being able to
read and write means being able to keep up with current events, communicate effectively, and
understand the issues that are shaping the ever-changing world.
Literacy empowers people to navigate the world and discover new horizons. Together, let’s
promote literacy and ensure everyone has the chance to unlock a world of knowledge and
possibilities!
Good morning meta parents, meta students, meta teachers, and to our meta-administrator. It is
my pleasure to welcome you all today as we celebrate International Literacy Day with the theme
“Promoting literacy for a world in transition. Building the foundation for sustainable and
peaceful societies. This is teacher Love; Grade 1 adviser and we are here to extend a warm
welcome to all of you as we appreciate your effort in having the time to be with us today in
spite of your busy schedules.
Before we move on to the main part of the program let us witness the book rally of the meta
kids!
Raise your banners and placards as we shout your yells and advocates. The importance of
reading and writing for life-long learning.
May I request everyone to gather in front and get ready for the book rally.
Lets start with the pre elementary pupils.
Followed by grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6

What an amazing rally. It seems that our meta kids are really ready to embrace
literacy. Now us all settled down as we enjoy the rest of the program.
Before anything else may I request all of you to stand for our invocation and national

Every one of us loves to read. Especially in our spare time. We read books to gain
information, to be entertained, to be inspired, to imagine, and to be someone we
wished we’d had. Now, let us call some of our meta kids to have their book
endorsement and to endorse their favorite book.
