What is Notepad?
Notepad is a basic text editor that you can use to
create simple document. Notepad is also a super
tool for creating web page because notepad
supports only very basic formatting.
Alt+space+X- to maximize the notepad window

Alt+space+R- to restore the notepad window

Alt+space+N- to minimize the notepad window

File {Alt+F}
New – (Ctrl+N)-to open a new file of blank file.

Open - (Ctrl+O)-to open a required file which you want to open.

Save - (Ctrl+S)-to save file for future.

Save as - (Ctrl+S)-to save file for first time or save duplicate file.

Page setup – for set the page as required

Print - (Ctrl+P)-to print the selected file or documents.

Edit {Alt+E}
Undo-(Ctrl+Z) - to go back on last action or sleep.

Cut- (Ctrl+X) – to cut the selected text.


Copy- (Ctrl+C) – to copy the selected text.

Paste- (Ctrl+V) – to paste the copied and cut texts.

Delete- (Delete) – to delete the selected text.

Find- (Ctrl+F) – to open the find window to find the required text.

Find Next- (F3) – to go to next find word

Replace- (Ctrl+H) – to replace the text with help of replace window.

Go to- (Ctrl+G) – to open the “go to” window and go to require line, paragraph. It will
show when word warp will be off.

Select all- (Ctrl+A) – to select the all text together.

Date and time- (F5) - to show the Date and Time.

Format (Alt+O)
Word warp- to change the page in portrait and landscape size. To show the status bar
first off the word wrap.

Font- to open the front window.

View (Alt+V)
Status- shows the status of notepad. It will show when status will be on and It use to
with go to tool.

Help (Alt+H)
Notepad version- it shows the version of notepad.

Notepad- it tells us about notepad.
