FOREWORD
To meet the stricter exhaust emission regulations applied to the diesel engine and to meet the
market demands for higher performance, low noise, and low vibrations, the 1 KD-FTV TOYOTA D-
4D diesel engine for the Land Cruiser Prado has adopted direct injection system and common-rail
system.
This instruction manual has been prepared to enable the technicians to use the Common-Rail
Diesel EFI System Simulator to learn about the Common-Rail Diesel EFI System, as well as the
Engine lmmobiliser System, which has been simultaneously adopted.
