MConsultingPrep PSG Simulation - Spreadsheet 1 - Choosing Location & Filtering Species
How to Use This Spreadsheet:
Step 1: List the specs for all 9 producers in the Species Specs table, and look for numbers that do not change - they are irrelevan
Step 2: Identify the range with the highest number / most productive (highest calorie provided, many eaters) plants
Step 3: Look through the remaining 30 species (all of them should be animals), list only the ones with suitable specs (matching
Note: It is advisable to list the correct class - this would be useful in building the food chain

MConsultingPrep PSG Simulation - Spreadsheet 2 - Building the Food Chain
How to Use This Spreadsheet:
Step 1: List one apex predator from Spreadsheet 1 - preferably the ones with fewest required calories, and most preys
Step 2: Fill the food chain in a top-down or bottom-up manner (whatever works for you). Duplicate the card template when y
Step 3: Resolve the food chain using the process described in the McKinsey Problem Solving Game article. Note the "End" ca
Step 4: If the food chain hasn't met the required number of 8 species, look for points of high calorie-out surplus (its calorie p
Step 5: From the points of highest surplus to the least, add new species to the food chain, using the "eaten by/predators" specs
