Internal hackathon for SIH - 2023


Date:29/09/2023
Department of Computer Engineering, College of Technology,
Pantnagar had organized an internal hackathon to shortlist the
teams to register for Smart India Hackathon-2023 on 29/09/2023.

Only one team (6 students, 5male and 1 female) of students


have participated in this event. As per the guidelines of Smart India
Hackathon – 2023, and to encourage female participation in
innovative projects, each team consists of at least one female
student as member. The participants of the CSE department
have worked on a problem put forward by various ministries of
Government of India as well as problems from various PSUs. Out
of them ,one software problem was chosen by the participants to
work upon. 2 judges having industrial/academic experience in
various fields were invited.
The registration process was started at 10:00 AM on
September 29, 2023 at CSE deaprtment. Only 1 team with 6
students reported for the event.

After registration, students were allocated appropriate space


with necessary logistic support to work on the problem. The
necessary resources were provided by institute to the team and
subsequently students started their project setup accordingly.
From around 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM, participants worked on the
solving the defined problems and made themselves ready for
presentation and demonstration.
After lunch, the jury members visited the team for
evaluation purpose.
Total 2 juries were invited and they evaluated the team
based on following uniform criteria:

1. Clarity and details in the prescribed format(Problem


Understanding)
2. Novelty of the idea
3. Complexity
4. Feasibility
5. Sustainability
6. Practicability
7. Scale of Impact
8. Quality of Solution & user experience
9.Potential for future work progression
10.Teamwork and Presentation
