learning goals, develop strategies leveraging a butterfly (Egg, larva, pupa, adult)
technology to achieve them and reflect on the
learning process itself to improve learning
outcomes.

How do you plan to implement this lesson and integrate the technology? Check all that apply:
X Teacher-led: There is no student voice and choice in the activities. Students are guided by the
teacher's direction and expectations. Learning activities are assigned to the
student and mostly practice based.
☐ Student-Led: Students are given voice and choice in the activities. They may select the topic
of learning and/or determine the tool they will use to meet the learning goal. The
teacher facilitates the learning as the students direct their own learning processes.
☐ Problem-based (Real world problems) and/or Publishable: Students are solving problems
and completing projects to demonstrate their learning. Additionally, the projects can be shared
outside of the classroom. (Note: This objective could be reached by displaying the project on the
school’s morning newscast, posting the project to the classroom blog, presenting it to another
class, or publishing it via an outside source.)
Lesson idea implementation: In this lesson, students will access the tools of Padlet. There are
different types of activities. First, students will recognize what they know about the life cycle of a
butterfly, then they will watch the video to gain their knowledge about this lesson. After that, they

will use their creativity to draw a butterfly and color it. End of the lesson, they will test themselves
what they learn about this lesson.
Managing student learning: The students move from passive to active social learners by working
individually and as a group. They will look at the pictures of the life cycle and watch the video about
the lesson. Then, they will be allowed to draw pictures and color them. After that, they will be able
to measure their knowledge by answering the game quiz questions.
Universal Design for Learning (UDL): By using Padlet tools, the students will learn different
vocabularies, watch videos, and use their creativity working as hands-on activities.
Reflective Practice: I believe this tool will help students build understanding because by using this
tool, they will engage in the lesson and have fun by doing quizzes with the Booklet game.
