1. Research on one (1) ethical issue surrounding the hospitality and tourism
industry in the Philippines.
Every industry, including the hotel sector, has its own unique set of moral dilemmas.
Although they may not appear to be immoral, hospitality businesses have occasionally
shown themselves to be anything but welcoming. The good news is that the hotel
industry's common ethical problems can be solved. Employees and visitors are happier
when there is better ethics. Naturally, this boosts the business's popularity, clientele,
and earnings.
THEFT
Employee theft is a moral dilemma in almost every sector. In the hotel industry, there
are two types of staff theft, though. Employees first embezzle funds and supplies. For
instance, they might steal blankets, pillows, and other items. They might even claim that
some of the visitors took it. They may add charges to bills when it comes to money, but
they keep the fictitious costs. Or, if they are required to disclose tips, they can choose
not to do so because many cleaning staff members receive meager pay. Customer
loyalty is harmed by the second category of thieves. As they clean the rooms, staff
members could steal from the visitors. It might be cash, jewels, clothes, electronics, or
even clothing. Some visitors don't notice anything is missing until they get home, but
others see it right away, which can be bad for your hotel's reputation.
PART I
2. Provide your own assessment of which ethical principle addresses the
issue according to your research.
Although there are many things to take into account before establishing that an
employee has committed theft, if it were discovered by CCTV or another source, the
employee would be fired immediately. In my opinion, theft is a significant issue. The
second is the decline in food intake options the visitor did not use up, which enables me
to claim that it is widespread in our industry.

PART I
1. Research about the current employment trends in the tourism and
hospitality industry within the Philippines.
Artificial intelligence and virtual reality Some forward-thinking motels are launching
virtual reality (VR). Informational methods for marketing, ordering, and booking are
being developed through the engaging blending of digital and tactile senses. Visitors
can digitally explore the 360-degree replica of room tours or look at the neighborhood's
attractions. Artificial intelligence (AI), powered by large data analysis, is a different
technology that is maturing. AI assists hotels in analyzing visitor trends and anticipating
their habits in many ways. Hotels are embracing guest-centric hospitality, from utilizing
AI-powered chat bots to robots at the hotel check-in desks or for room amenities.
Keeping up with the newest design based on trend influences is essential for hoteliers
and developers in a sector where business is characterized by seasonality and
increasing rivalry. Integrate regional leisure interests, digital technologies, and real-
world experiences into the physical environment of your hotel to prepare for the exciting
year ahead and beyond. In pursuit of the meta-modern in the upcoming Philippine
architecture, the author runs his own architectural and technology studio, providing
assistance to local and foreign clients seeking out distinctive and future design
specialties for hotels, condominiums, museums, commercial and mixed-use township
developments.

2. Provide an assessment of the skills and competencies required for the
current jobs available in the tourism and hospitality labor market.
Each industry may carry out the necessary training and instruct workers on how to
properly use their skills. They have effective communication skills to handle a variety of
scenarios. Be clever and offer the guest the right services. We must be flexible in our
thinking if we want to incorporate new knowledge from our work. Make sure we enjoy
our time at work. There are many opportunities for hotels and restaurants to innovate
their services and facilities. We have the knowledge to deploy robots to help visitors in
their rooms because so many eateries now use them to serve. We can now solve
problems at hotels or restaurants with the most basic methods thanks to improvements
in technology. To finish the tasks associated with their employment, they must exert a
lot of effort. To make an effect, practice humility.
