Justification

1. Nature of the problem -health related

1/3 x 1

0.33

Health-related because improper waste disposal can be breeding sites of vectors and contributes to unhealthy environment. 75% of the community just dumps their garbage anywhere around their house.

2. Magnitude of the problems -75%-100%

4/4 x 3

3. Modifiability of the problem -moderate

2/3 x 4

2.67

It is moderately modifiable because the community may learn how to properly dispose their waste but if the collectors of the garbage are not going to collect it weekly the problem will still be the same. Health teachings on how to properly manage their wastes are great help. It will reduce the risk of having breeding sites of vectors but will not totally solve the problem. The community recognizes it as a problem but they cant do anything about it.

4. Preventive potential -moderate

5. Social concern -recognized as a problem but not needing urgent attention Total Score
