How did God reveal Himself in the scriptures?

God revealed Himself in the Scriptures through the inspiration of

the Holy Spirit working in and through human authors.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches that "God is the

author of Sacred Scripture" (CCC 105). While human authors
wrote the words, it was God who inspired and guided them,
ensuring that what was written was true and without error.
Sacred Scripture is considered a precious gift
from God, as it reveals His love, His plan for our
salvation, and how we can live in a way that
pleases Him.
God's revelation in the Scriptures
can be understood in two main
ways:

1. The Old Testament:

God revealed Himself through various means, such as direct
communication with individuals like Abraham, Moses, and the
prophets. He also revealed Himself through historical events,
miracles, and the laws and commandments given to the people of
Israel. The Old Testament contains accounts of God's actions and
interactions with humanity, showcasing His love, justice, mercy,
and desire for a relationship with His people.
God's revelation in the Scriptures can be
understood in two main ways:
2. The New Testament:
God's revelation reached its fulfillment in the person of Jesus
Christ. Jesus is the Word of God made flesh (John 1:14), and
through His life, teachings, death, and resurrection, He fully
revealed the Father's love and plan for salvation. The Gospels,
the letters of the apostles, and the other writings of the New
Testament testify to the life, teachings, and saving work of Jesus
Christ.
