Basic Medical Terminology - Prefixes

Students will learn basic medical terminology by studying common prefixes and their meanings. A 30 minute lesson involves providing a list of medical prefixes, discussing example terms, having students independently study the prefixes, and completing a worksheet to assess their understanding. Adaptations include partner work or finding additional terms for advanced students. The goal is for students to apply knowledge of word parts like prefixes to determine the meaning of medical terms.
