FAQ
Where are tests 39-59?
I haven’t written them yet. 39-61 is 23 sets of explanations. Each set is about 30,000 words,
so the gap is 700,000 words.
In 2011, I wrote explanations for preptests 19-38. Then in 2012, I wrote explanations for
:
preptest 68 onwards. In 2013 I extended this backwards to LSAT preptest 62.
So there’s currently a gap in explanations. I haven’t written anything for 39-61. I hope to do
this eventually, starting with 52-61. But I have no timeline for this, as LSAT explanations take
quite a while to write.
How often do you release new tests?
I usually release the new LSAT explanations about 1-2 weeks after the test comes out. Older
tests don’t follow a set pattern – explanations take a while to write.
What are you working on right now?
I’ve been working on the LSAT mastery seminars.
Next, I’m going to go through tests 79 and 80 and record myself doing them timed without
having seen them before. That’s why new explanations are on hold – I need to preserve the
fresh material.
Once those videos are done, I’ll be making explantions for 78-80, and returning to a regular
posting schedule.
After that, I should have time to proofread my past explanations for 19-28. It’s possible those
will be up in 2017. However, I wouldn’t expect them anytime soon. If you really want a copy
now, LSAT Blog or Cambridge LSAT has them on sale. I haven’t sold them on my site because I
haven’t updated them to my current format and would rather do that first.
52-61 are next on the list after 19-28, but I wouldn’t expect those in 2017 – explanations take
a while!

I have 60 and 61 up now. Working on the new explanations now. Had been delayed a
bit due to an RSI issue but am getting back into it.

Hi,
Thank you for the great explanations. Since the LSAT is now digital, do you have any
advice for remaining fast on AR? The great tip about diagramming your work next to
the question is no longer an option for the actual exam. I am so worried about my
timing, and there are not many digital practice exams available.

I just write the question number on scrap paper + ABCDE. It takes only a couple
seconds to do, and then I do the diagram + cross off answers there. I only use the
digital test to mark the final answer.

Graeme,
It is pretty well known within LSAT’s little sphere that RC is “your thing.” I’ve even
wondered if you were the one to suggest the idea of low resolution summaries to
7Sage back in the day. I’m particularly interested in knowing how you tackle
comparative passages. Do you give the answer choices a first pass after reading
passage A? Or do you read both passages before touching the questions?
I know I’m reaching here expecting a response from you, but I’m really curious on
knowing your take.

Yeah, I was. I wrote their original “memory method” article back when I did work for
7sage. They added a citation, I believe.
Actually am not yet sure what I do on comparative. I just did more of them, and
started to do better. I *think* what I do is that I approach them almost like a point at
issue question. I want to see where passages agree, where they disagree, and where
they have no opinions on what the other one says. I do this without reference to the
questions – it’s knowledge I want to have beforehand.

Hi, are all the available LSAT explanations free on the site? Is there a place to buy
more that Graeme hasn’t published? Any update on the upcoming explanations? They
are the best by far.

Yup, everything is here. I’ve got 82 almost done, but it may be a while before things
get going. They take a LOT of time to write, and I’m currently working through a
backlog on some other projects. Hope to get back to it soon.

These explanations have honestly been a huge life saver. I am taking the June LSAT-
Flex test in just about 2 weeks and the explanations for these prep tests have been
super helpful especially since I have spent so much money already and I review my
work for free! Thank you!

Unfortunately it’s not on my list of explanations to do next, as it’s rather old. I do have
an unproofread copy of it I may publish one day, but for now I’m working on the tests
in the 80s.
