my illness.

Part 3. Giving opinions
1. Television is good for children
I strongly agree with the statement “Television is good for the children” because of the following
reasons.
Firstly, watching TV is a good way of entertainment and relaxation
Secondly, there are many educational programs on TV such as Wildlife that broaden children’
knowledge about the world
Last but not least, TV is a useful learning tool for children to develop their English skills by
watching English channels.
2. The social network is not good
I strongly agree with the statement “The social network is not good” because of the following
reasons.
Firstly, social network can cause addiction to its users. They waste too much time on social
network, leading to ineffective working performance
Secondly, there is a lot of fake news on the social network, so we must be smart to choose the
most reliable one
Last but not least, users ‘personal information such as bank account, ID number… may be leaked
or stolen.
3. Husbands should help with housework.
I strongly agree with the statement “Husbands should help with housework” because of the
following reasons.
Firstly, all members in a family must be responsible for household chores. In other words, they
live in the same house, so they need to share the housework with their wives if they both go to
work
Secondly, sharing housework can help prevent some conflicts among family members so as to
maintain a happy marriage life
Last but not least, fathers who do the housework will set a good role model for their children.
When the children grow up and get married, they actively help their partners.
4. Living in the city is very convenient
I strongly agree with the statement “Living in the city is very convenient” because of the
following reasons.
Firstly, in the city, there are a lot of stores, shopping malls, department stores, etc. so we can
easily buy things we need
Secondly, the city usually offers better education systems
Last but not least, the city offers many job opportunities so people can find suitable jobs with
good salaries.
5. Online learning has a lot of advantages
I strongly disagree with the statement “Online learning has a lot of advantages.” I think it causes
some problems.
Firstly, the Internet connection is unstable so sometimes we miss important information and even
can’t catch up with the lessons well
Secondly, learning online all day during the week will cause discomfort and eye disorders. As a
result, it’s hard to concentrate on the lessons
Last but not least, online learning limits the interaction among teachers and students, students
and students.
6. Students should do part-time jobs
I strongly disagree with the statement “Students should do part time jobs” because of the
following reasons.
Firstly, doing part-time jobs can make students lose their focus on study/ their interest in study.
As a result, their scores are often low
Secondly, when students can earn money from their part-time jobs, they don’t have any
motivation to continue their university study. What they want is to earn more and more money
Last but not least, having part-time jobs consumes students’ energy. Therefore, students often
feel tired and exhausted and even have no energy to participate in the lessons, which leads to
students’ poor performance.
