WHO IS ENTITLED TO FREE SLOVENIAN LANGUAGE AND SLOVENIAN HISTORY, CULTURE AND CONSTITUTIONAL SYSTEM COURSES
ELEMENTARY LEVEL SLOVENIAN LANGUAGE TEST
If you meet the requirements, the Administrative Unit will issue a certicate on meeting the requirements to attend the courses. You take the certicate to the course provider. For more information go to: www.infotujci.si.
THIRD COUNTRY NATIONALS WITH A TEMPORARY RESIDENCE PERMIT VALID FOR AT LEAST ONE YEAR You are entitled to a 60-hour Slovenian language course and a 30-hour Slovenian history, culture and constitutional system course, or to a 60-hour combined course.
You are entitled to a free rst Slovenian language test if you have done a 180- or 120- hour Slovenian language course and your attendance was at least 80 %. The course provider keeps attendance records.
WHO IS NOT ENTITLED TO ATTEND THE COURSE Foreigners who have completed any education level in the Republic of Slovenia or are enrolled in a regular education programme in the Republic of Slovenia or have already passed a Slovenian language test at the elementary level at least, are not entitled to attend a Slovenian language course. Foreigners who have completed any education level in the Republic of Slovenia are not entitled to attend a Slovenian history, culture and constitutional system course.
Course applications and a list of selected providers are accessible on e-government portal: http://e-uprava.gov.si/e-uprava/ Free courses are funded by the Ministry of the Interior and the European Fund for the Integration of Third-country Nationals.
THIRD COUNTRY NATIONALS WHO RESIDED IN SLOVENIA ON THE BASIS OF A TEMPORARY RESIDENCE PERMIT THE PREVIOUS YEAR AND HAVE A NEW PERMIT ISSUED FOR ANOTHER YEAR, AND THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS You are entitled to a 180-hour Slovenian language course and a 30-hour Slovenian history, culture and constitutional system course, or to a 180-hour combined course. If you have already done a 60-hour Slovenian language course, you are entitled to the remaining 120 hours of lessons.

WHERE AND HOW TO APPLY FOR COURSES At the Administrative Unit of your permanent or temporary residence you can: apply for a certicate conrming that you meet the requirements for attending a Slovenian language course, register to take the rst Slovenian language test, apply for a certicate conrming that you meet the requirements for attending a Slovenian history, culture and constitutional system course.
