Tutor Service Agreement

Upon engaging the services of a private tutor with the assistance of The Cambridge Tutor
Company, you, the client, agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. The tutoring arrangement undertaken is a private one exclusively between the client
and the tutor, not between the client and The Cambridge Tutor Company.

2. The frequency, duration, location, and objectives of the lessons are to be agreed
upon in discussion exclusively between the client and the tutor. After the initial
introduction from The Cambridge Tutor Company, all communication should be
between the client and the tutor directly.

3. The Cambridge Tutor Company accepts no responsibility or liability for the lessons
received.

4. Invoices will be supplied by the tutor directly to the client at appropriate intervals as
determined by the tutor. The tutor will advise on preferred payment methods.

5. Neither the tutor nor The Cambridge Tutor Company offers any guarantee of public
exam grades or of gaining school/university places.

6. Any tutor support offered with Non-Examined Assessment (NEA, or ‘Coursework’)


will only be provided according to JCQ’s established codes of practice.

7. The Cambridge Tutor Company generally observes the UK academic calendar.


Lessons requested during UK school holidays are provided at the discretion of the
tutor. Most tutors are available for lessons for approximately 40 weeks per year.

8. When lessons are provided to clients internationally, all times pertaining to


scheduling of lessons are quoted in GMT / BST.

9. Lessons cancelled by the client with less than 24 hours’ notice are liable to be paid in
full at the tutor’s discretion.

10. All stationery, textbooks and associated study materials must be provided by the
client. When lessons are provided online, pupils are expected to have access to an
internet-enabled device.

11. When lessons are provided online, we kindly request that pupil cameras are turned
on unless a specific request is made otherwise.

12. We reserve the right to record online lessons. The tutor will notify the pupil/s of this
before a recording begins. Any recordings made will be stored securely online and
deleted termly, and are not used for any purpose except as a record of the lesson
content. Recordings are not shared with any third-party.

13. We kindly request two weeks’ notice if the client wishes to terminate a tutor service
agreement.

14. Payment of the first invoice is taken as acknowledgement and acceptance of these terms
and conditions by the client.
