GROWTH AS AN ESSENTIAL PART OF LIVING

by Francis Ivan D. Lacanaria

Change is inevitable. Today’s version of us is different from yesterday.

Because each day, we are growing up. It is an essential part of our lives.

Growth comes in different senses. We grow physically, mentally and

emotionally. We need these to adapt to different life circumstances.
We can’t remain babies forever. We grow physically by height and other changes in our physical
features. We grow mentally by the way we think and make life decisions. We grow emotionally
by the way we feel about things. We become more sensitive as we grow up.

Sometimes growing up means leaving things behind. Leaving our immature selves.
Leaving bad habits. Leaving our irresponsible version. And leaving things that won’t make us
move forward. Growth is an essential part of living indeed.
