Situationer Jose Rizal once said, “Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan” but
how can our children be our future if they are hopeless and
helpless?

Every child deserves to have a quality education for them to be able

to preform their part in the future. How can we have the future
when our children are lacking emotional and financial support?
According to a teacher from Uychiat Elementary School which is a
parent of one of our members, 4 out of 10students are reported
absenting because of lack of clothes to wear, shortage of money to
buy snacks and lunch, and those students who are sick and doesn’t
have the money to buy a medicine. One of our member lived near to
this school and she is primary source of this information;
Sometimes you could see how those children are suffering , they are
walking several kilometer to go to school and you could really
witness how the poverty is evident because of how their slippers
looks like. Its torn out and yet they still manage to smile. A lot of
people are suffering especially in this generation, but let us be
mindful that it is just right to invest to the children of this country.
 We chose to implement this kind of project to help the unprivileged
students of the UYCHIAT Elementary School. We the PBH member
chose to help them to alleviate their status even in a small way. This
project may be small, but we hope that with our determination to
help, we could plant a seed to their hearts that could eventually
grow and help them to become a good citizen of this country. A
small act of kindness to give back and show our love and support
for the children who doing their best to fight for their dreams even
when they don’t have the financial capability to do so. And an
encouragement for them to keep going even if the road is bumpy.

We saw a huge potential for these children and our desire is to help
them fish. A quote from the Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu; If you
give a man fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish,
you feed him for a life time. We want to give them words of wisdom
in this activity so that they would learn the value of hard work and
determination. Their efforts and will to gain a better life is not
achieve great things without hard work so this activity will also be a
sort of reminder for them to keep what they are doing and go for
their dreams.

“PROJECT PBH ( Paglaum sa bata nga may handum)”

Main Objective:
-To render a community service to the students of UYCHIAT
Elementary School by conducting an activity that can motivate and
inspire them to achieve their desired goals in life no matter how
challenging it could be.

-To donate old clothes for those student who needs it.
-To conduct recreational activities for the enjoyment of the students.
-To contribute and help for their daily “baon” in collaboration with
the teachers’ and stakeholders on their daily pabaon program.

 -Through an exhibit, we will showcase what we have done at Uychiat
Elementary School where we conducted the PBH Program that aims
to inspire and give hope to those students which are our prior
beneficiary in this project.
Expected outcomes of
Project - We hope that they will carry with them the motivational lessons we
have taught them in their minds and hearts. We at PBH hope that
we were able to convince them that young people like them shouldn't
give up on life.

-50 students of UYCHIAT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL for the gift

Direct Beneficiary
- 150 students of UYCHIAT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL for feeding.

-Through our project, the home and community will be able to

benefit by equipping our children the skill they need. Through this
we can inspire children that will help them grow and achieve their
dreams in life. Because our children are our future and we should
be the fuel to their burning desire. Through this activity, we can
help the 50 unprivileged student that was selected by the school. By
simply giving them used clothes and their daily baon contribution.
How will home and The rest of the students will be our beneficiary for the feeding
community benefit your program and the recreational activities that will give them the
project? happiness even in just a small period of time. By this project we aim
that they will be motivated to do better at school. We the PBH
member will be able to benefit from this activity. We may also learn
different lessons that we can apply in our daily lives. This project
may not be big enough to cover all the students but through our
collaborative efforts we can create change and inspire young
children from UYCHIAT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.
