Relevant Experience
Consulting Project, Deloitte London, Summer 2020
I worked as part of a team on a project to analyse employee engagement within the organisation. This was
an assessed part of my MSc course:
• Client Management: During the 4-week assignment, I was the primary contact between our team
and Deloitte. I was responsible for ensuring we met the brief and delivered the project on time.
• Employee survey: A key deliverable was to conduct a comprehensive employee survey to
benchmark future initiatives against. I designed an interactive game that was embedded into the
employee intranet and resulted in 65% response rate
• Competitor analysis: I undertook a complete analysis of employer engagement initiatives amongst
similar size companies to understand best practice in the sector
• Project management: I established regular project meetings and used GANTT charts
• Present recommendations: we presented back our findings to senior staff members

Marketing Assistant, Education First Ltd., Beijing, Summer 2019

As a result of winning the EF Business Plan Competition, I obtained the placement to work for the world’s
largest private educational company. My responsibilities and achievements included:
• Process improvement: I formulated effective training sessions and team-bonding events that
resulted in a decrease in staff turnover by 10%.
• Business development: I led our summer marketing campaign with multiple events aimed at
consolidating brand equity as well as generating potential customers’ contacts.
• Market research and competitor analysis: to support and inform strategic decisions.
• Event evaluation: Evaluated an external event proposal and tackled the conflicting interests
between the company and the host organisation on the process of carrying out the event.

Volunteer, SAHARA Aalhad Centre, India, January-March 2018

To challenge myself and experience the working style of an NGO abroad, I took part in the voluntary
project Genesis in SAHARA, a hospice caring for people living with HIV in India. My main responsibilities
were:
• Capacity building workshops: I delivered health awareness sessions to key stakeholders in colleges
and companies.
• Fundraising project: To ensure the project was sustainable for the following year, I organised a
fund-raising event targeting employees in a IT company, by selling cards drawn by children living
with HIV, realising 5,000 rupees in 2 days.
This unique opportunity gave me a useful experience in cross cultural communication, deepened my
insight into societal issues and strengthened my learning capacity and adaptability.

Sales Assistant, Marks and Spencer, London (2012-13)

I worked part time whilst studying, operating tills, cashing up, dealing with customer service issues,
tracking customer orders and ensuring our department’s sales targets were met. This role enhanced my:
 Communication and numeracy skills, as well as time management: as I juggled work and academic
commitments
 Understanding of customer service and how this can be enhanced
 Knowledge of the retail sector, observing marketing strategies and the company’s ethos towards
keeping staff motivated

time. Excellent communication, leadership and project management skills were essential.

 Vice President and Executive Board Member, AIESEC Guangzhou China (2018) - AIESEC is the

 United States Representative, China Future Leadership Project, (2017) - I was selected as one of
the representatives of Chinese college students to attend Harvard Asian Business Conference 2017
‘Turbulence in the Financial World’. As part of the trip I visited prestigious universities and key

and attended 7 leadership and management seminars at prestigious universities including MIT and
Yale.

 Best Team Leader, Education First Ltd. Business Plan Competition, China (2017) – I successfully led
a team of 4 members from diverse backgrounds to formulate a business plan for a Korean-teaching
institution and presented it without PowerPoint. Our team was awarded Best Team and I was
awarded Best Team Leader and Best Presenter. Being involved in this competition, allowed me to
extend my communication ability and work efficiently in a pressurised environment with unfamiliar
peers.
