Openwell Staircase

The document describes the design of an open well staircase including 10 steps. It provides the dimensional details of the staircase including floor to floor height, riser height, tread width, landing dimensions, and flight lengths. It then outlines the 10 step design process including: 1) calculating the effective span, 2) calculating the effective depth, 3) calculating loads, 4) calculating bending moment and shear force, 5) checking depth against bending moment, 6) designing reinforcement, 7) checking shear strength, 8) checking deflection, 9) calculating development length, and 10) detailing distribution bar reinforcement. The design is provided for the first landing, flight, and second landing.
