Finite Element Simulation Lab Guide

This document outlines the contents, objectives, learning outcomes, experiments, and evaluation scheme for a finite element methods simulation lab course. The course will use Abaqus software to analyze various components and evaluate their structural and thermal properties. Students will learn how to model geometry, assign materials and constraints, apply loads, and interpret simulation results. The course consists of 8 tutorials covering topics like beam analysis, heat transfer, buckling analysis, and modal analysis. Students will complete tutorials, online quizzes, and a final online lab examination.
