Essay In Apa Style
Writing an essay in APA style can be a challenging endeavor, especially if you're unfamiliar with the
intricacies of this formatting style. APA (American Psychological Association) style requires strict
adherence to guidelines regarding citations, references, margins, font, and overall structure. It
demands attention to detail and precision in formatting, which can be daunting for those who haven't
had much experience with it.
Firstly, one must familiarize themselves with the APA style guide, which can be quite dense and
technical. Understanding how to cite sources within the text, create a reference list, and format
headings and subheadings correctly is crucial. Each aspect of the essay, from the title page to the
reference section, must adhere to APA guidelines, leaving little room for error.
Moreover, maintaining consistency throughout the essay is paramount. In APA style, consistency in
formatting, punctuation, and citation style is key to presenting a polished and professional piece of
writing. This requires meticulous attention to detail and careful proofreading to ensure everything
aligns with APA standards.
Additionally, incorporating citations and references properly adds another layer of complexity. Not
only must sources be cited within the text in a specific format, but the reference list at the end of the
essay must also be compiled accurately, including all necessary information and following the
prescribed APA format.
Overall, writing an essay in APA style requires patience, precision, and a thorough understanding of
the style guide. It can be a time-consuming process that requires careful attention to detail every step
of the way.

Description Of A Business Entity That Ms. Growne
BACKGROUND: Sue Growne, client G14159, is looking to purchase a tavern, which
would include both realty and personality. So ReaLand CPA s could better serve this
client, I, Bobbi Paternico was tasked with researching the legal and tax options available
to the client, based upon the entity utilized for the purchase and the method of purchase.
ANALYSIS: The type of business entity that Ms. Growne selects can have both legal
and tax implications. Having said this, there are some tax and legal considerations to
examine regardless of the type of purchasing entity. Specifically, one of the first decisions
that Ms. Growne should make, is whether she wants to acquire the assets of the tavern or
the stock/interests in the business... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The statement of reserves should be reviewed, since the acquisition of the tavern,
through the purchase of the seller s interest, results in the buyer, Ms. Growne
accepting both known and unknown liabilities of the business prior to her ownership.
In addition, by reviewing the financial statements to look at the net operating gain or
loss, Ms. Growne can determine if there is a loss she can offset against her other
sources of income. For some individuals, the idea of being able to offset other income
with these losses incurred prior to ownership is appealing, due to the tax benefit that
may result. However, if the buyer does not have significate income to be offset or is
not in a higher tax brackets, this benefit of the acquisition through interest becomes less
attractive. In addition, if the sellers basis in the assets are significantly less than the
assets fair market value, the buyer is likely to incur greater gains on the assets in the
future, resulting in a higher taxable income and leading to negative tax implication. In
contrast, if the assets of the business were purchased, the buyer would not be susceptible
to prior liabilities and the seller must examine their basis for each asset, compare it with
the assets current market value, and incur any applicable gains or losses, intern shifting
the tax consequences of an increase in

Every year millions of children are abused and neglected worldwide. Child abuse is a
global concern. It has severe outcomes on the children who are victims, and often the
effects are long lasting. Child abuse is a highly under reported crime although of those
reported, neglect accounts for the majority of child abusecases (Pala, Ünalacak,
Ünlüoğlu, 2011). Neglect in children often has more dire consequences than other types
of child abuse (DePanfilis, Children s Bureau, Office on Child Abuse Neglect, 2006).
One consequence especially prevalent in neglected children is insecure or lack of
attachment to a primary caregiver. John Bowlbys research has shown the evolutionary
importance of infant attachments, further research shows that... Show more content on

The Child Welfare Information Gateway adds unsatisfactory supervision to the types of
neglect and maintains that physical neglect including medical neglect and abandonment
is the most common form of neglect (DePanfilis, et al, 2006).
Consequences of Neglect There are many immediate and long term effects that result
from child neglect. Research by the Child Welfare Information Gateway indicates that
the influence of neglect is often only immediately noticeable in severe cases of neglect;
most effects of neglect go unobserved for years. Neglect becomes more obvious as the
child ages and develops physically, intellectually, emotionally, and socially (DePanfilis, et
al., 2006).
There are a number of factors that influence the extent of the consequences of neglect.
One major influence is the child s age and developmental stage at the time of the
abuse. Studies show that younger children (under age three) who experience abuse or
neglect are far worse off than children abused at an older age (DePanfilis, et al., 2006).
Dr. Jonathon B. Kotch and a team of collaborators looked at the effect early physical
abuse and neglect had on later aggression. They found that neglect that occurred within
two years of being born was the only predictor of aggression at ages four, six, and eight
in their study. Neglect in older children and physical abuse at any age did not predict
aggression (Kotch, et

It is normally produced by both the adrenal glands and certain neurons. It is commonly
used as a medicine in a number of conditions such as cardiac arrest, anaphylaxis, and
superficial bleeding. It plays an important role in the fight or flight response by increasing
blood flow to muscles, output of the heart, pupil dilation, and blood sugar. The fight or
flight response is a physiological reaction that occurs in response to a perceived harmful
event, attack, or threat to survival. In a stressful situation you feel your heart start racing
and your hands start to sweat. This triggers the fight or flight response which opens up
the adrenal medulla gland in response to your nervous system. Epinephrine is then
released into your system to prepare you for danger. It triggers the blood vessels to
contract to re direct blood toward major muscle groups, including the heart and lungs.
While this process occurs the ability for ones body to feel pain decreases and strength
and performance increases. Which is why some people are able to keep running or
moving even after they have been injured. After the situation has been dealt with the

Family History Reflection
Reflection of My Family History
What can I say about my family? Honestly, hardly know jack shit about my family s
history. As of now, I know that both my Biological parents were born in Puerto Rico.
In addition, please be mindful that the man who is supposedly is my biological father; I
did not have a chance to meet his ass until I was 24 years old. Furthermore, I never
would have met this fucking man had it not been for me calling my Titi Carmen (Aunty
Carmen) in Puerto Rico. Before I go too deep into my family s history, I think it would
be best for you guys to get a little bit of my background, my first family, the streets of
New York City.
For starters, I was born and raised in the most violent poverty stricken section of New
York City, The South Bronx. I managed to survive two epidemics, (the crack, and the
aids epidemic). I was born in the early seventies. The Bronx to me looked like a fucking
warzone, a vast wasteland, where it was not uncommon to see the rats roam free
amongst the debris of the streets of New York City; along with the huge water bugs
(Cucarachas Grandes), it is what we Ricans in the hood use to call them. These big ass
roaches were disgusting; these motherfuckers had wings on them too. So them suckers
could fly and shit. I cringe as I writing this shit thinking about them nasty ass disgusting
roaches. The shit I had to deal with growing up in this bitch! I still remember, I swear to
you guys going to the bathroom was some scary ass shit, like a
