Ensuring the safety and well-being of students and staff within educational institutions is of paramount
importance. In this regard, the integration of comprehensive First Aid and Fire Safety Training programs in
schools plays a crucial role in equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to respond
effectively in emergency situations.
First Aid and Fire Safety Training are essential components of a school's safety preparedness strategy. These
programs go beyond the traditional academic curriculum, providing practical skills that empower individuals
to take immediate action in the face of accidents, injuries, or fire emergencies. By incorporating these training
sessions into the educational framework, schools not only prioritize the safety of their community members
but also contribute to the development of responsible and informed citizens.
First Aid Training in schools typically covers a range of topics, including basic life support, wound care, and
the recognition of common medical emergencies. Students and staff are taught how to assess situations

I. RATIONALE First aid and fire safety training are crucial
components of workplace, school and community
safety. They are designed to equip individuals with
the knowledge and skills needed to respond
effectively in emergency situations. First aid and fire
safety training are integral components of overall
safety planning. They empower individuals to
respond effectively to emergencies, reduce the
severity of injuries, and contribute to creating a safer
and more secure environment.
II. OBJECTIVES The objectives of the said training are the following:
a. to increase the number of trained first aiders
b. to promote preservation of life by carrying out
emergency first aid procedures
c. to gain skills in preventing casualty’s condition
from deteriorating any further
d. to understand the role and responsibilities of a first
aider.
III. EXPECTED OUTPUT OF THE ACTIVITY To equip participants with the knowledge and skills
necessary to respond effectively in emergency
situations.
a. Increased Awareness: Participants should be
more aware of potential hazards in their surroundings
and have a heightened sense of preparedness.
b. Confidence in Emergency Response: Individuals
should gain confidence in their ability to respond to
