Preventing an Abortion

2. Birth is not the origin of life; it is the arrival.

Colossians 1:9-10 For this reason, since the day we heard about

evidence of personhood in the womb.

5. Our actions are not hidden from God.
Hebrews 4:13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight.
Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to
whom we must give account.
6. Self may desire to get out of a pregnancy, but that is not what God
desires. Choosing God's way,no matter how difficult, leads to life ;;:

1. When forgiveness is requested, it is granted without reservation.

2. God can take our broken spirit and produce joy.
Psalm 51:10-17 Create in me a pure heart, 0 God, and renew a
steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or
take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your
salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. Then I will
teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will turn back to you.
Save me from bloodguilt, 0 God, the God who saves me, and my
tongue will sing of your righteousness. 0 Lord, open my lips, and
my mouth will declare your praise. You do not delight in sacrifice,
or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. The
sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart,

3. God offers restoration.
Psalm 40:1-3 I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me
and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud
and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.

Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD.
4. God understands the women ofIsrae1 weeping for children they
would never see again-He understands sorrow for loss of children.
Jeremiah 31:15 This is what the LoRD says: "A voice is heard in
Rarnah, mourning and great weeping, Rachel weeping for her children
and refusing to be comforted, because her children are no more."
Matthew 2:17-18 Then what was said through the prophet
Jeremiah was fulfilled: "A voice is heard in Ramah, weeping and
great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to
be comforted, because they are no more."
5. As those in Israel's captivity were notto dwell on the awfulness of the
captivity, so we are also not to dwell on the past once it is forgiven.
Isaiah 43:18-19 Forget the former things; do not dwell on the
past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not

6. God is the only one who can saveus from our sorrow.
