OVERVIEW Quick Access

Jasperactive
There are 3 software applications you will use in the Introduction to Microsoft Office Jasperactive Student
Login
Course. You will need to download and activate your accounts for the following:

1. Jasperactive GMetrix
GMetrix Student Login
2. GMetrix
3. Microsoft Office 365
Certiport
This guide will help you set-up your accounts and show you how to get started in Certiport Web Registration

preparation for the first day of class.

1. Prior to your 1st day of class, you must set up your Jasperactive and GMetrix
accounts, and download both softwares onto your computer.
2. Open, then click Submit, in the Benchmark activities in Jasperactive for Word, Excel,
and Outlook. You do not actually need to do the Benchmarks (you could if you'd
like), but the system will not let you proceed if it thinks you have not completed
this.
3. If you wish to get a head start, feel free to read the first two chapters in the e-books
for Jasperactive Word, Excel, and Outlook, but this is not required.
You will also find helpful tips, video links, and resource information throughout this guide.

Registration Watch the Registration

Video Tutorial
With your unique registration and profile, you’ll have access to all
your courses and see your own progress reports.

Personal Information:
Enter your profile information.

On your Dashboard page you will see all your courses. Jasperactive Installer:

Click on the J icon to install the latest version of Jasperactive on
your computer.

Manage profile settings:

Change your password, change your
pic, or update your personal info,
Select your Microsoft year: click on the Avator image.

application that is installed on your

2 View Active Courses:

Click on Active courses. This is also
where you can see your previous
courses. To activate these old courses

Launching the Benchmark Watch the Launching

Benchmark
After completing the benchmark exam Jasperactive will determine the lessons Video Tutorial
you need to work on.

Header colour:
Each course is represented by the
colour banner at the top of the
screen. Word is blue, Excel is green
etc!

View your progress:

You can see how far you you’ve
progressed in the course.

3 Launch Benchmark:
Click onto this button to launch the
benchmark activity. The benchmark
activity is ungraded and is only used
to unlock the subsequent lessons in
each software platform. You can
choose to submit the benchmark
with 0 work completed or you can
attempt whatever questions you can
in the benchmark, it does not matter.

Video Tutorial
The Benchmark test looks the same as the lesson view. The red area below show
you the main work spaces.

Toggle:
The Jasperactive pane can be
displayed vertically or horizontally.
Use this button to switch back and
Ribbon: forth between views.
All the application functions are
accessible through the Ribbon. As
you can see, the application is live!

Jasperactive Pane:
This area is will tell you which tasks to
complete.

Working area:
The application opens real
documents! All the
functionality is available.

stroke to see if you know

There are lots of features in this pane. Familiarize yourself with them before at the Video Tutorial
beginning of your Benchmark exam!

Timer:
Keep your eye on the clock during
the benchmark exam!

Tasks:
Each task is listed. After finishing a task you can
click on the next one or use the Next Button in
the pane below.

Finished that task:

Click in the square to show your task Text Size:
has been completed. Click on the A+ to increase the text size or the
A- to decrease the text size.
COPY:
Click on this to copy the text, then
click paste in the actual document.

After completing the Benchmark exam and seeing your results, you are ready to
take an initial ungraded quiz before using the Learn exercises. The quizzes are

To unlock your practice tests, enter in your GMetrix access code provided below.

Start New Test:

Anytime you want to start a new test click on
“Start New Test”. YOUR NAME Right hand corner:
