The Disarmament and International Security Committee,
Acknowledging that numerous countries support nuclear disarmament due to the safety and security it
brings to the world,
Considering the effectiveness of nuclear weaponry as a deterrent for countries with ongoing tensions,
Expressing concern on the potential threats that the use of nuclear weapons poses,
Recognising the considerable efficiency of the threat of nuclear weapons as a deterrent in preventing a
nuclear arms race for many decades,
Hereby,
Defines
1. Nuclear weapons - devices designed to release energy in an explosive manner as a result of
nuclear fission;
2. Summits - meetings between global heads of government;
Article 1-SHORT TERM MEASURES
Article 1.1 - Outlawing of all manufacturing of nuclear weaponry for offensive purposes
1. Acknowledges the geographical and political concerns regarding the use of nuclear weaponry for
offensive purposes;
2. Stresses that countries with more than 200 nuclear weapons stop ongoing manufacturing of
nuclear weapons for offensive purpose due to the high level of carnage that is able to be reached
by autonomous warfare;
Article 1.2 - Reignition of peace talks with conflicting countries to prevent potential use of nuclear
weaponry
3. Reviewing the impacts of nuclear weapons, suggests to hold global meetings and summits with
world leaders to address issues;

Article 2-LONG TERM MEASURES
Article 2.1- Allowance of nuclear weapons for national security and defence
4. Calls for establishment of nuclear weapons as a worldwide security measure for certain countries;

extremist groups from attaining them;
6. Recommends a system of measures that investigates the development and purchase of minerals
and machinery used in nuclear weapons, to track where the products needed for the creation of
nuclear weapons go;
Article 2.3-Creation of an international body to govern and track the potential usages of nuclear weapons
7. Encourages the creation of a committee by the UN to govern the use of all nuclear weapons in
warfare;
8. Calls for said committee to be comprised of numerous experts in the field of nuclear weaponry;
9. Requests for the committee to have veto power regarding the use of nuclear weapons for defence
purposes only;
10. Requests that the international body produces succinct guidelines on the deployment of nuclear
weapons;
Article 3 - CONSEQUENCES FACED BY PARTIES FOR BREAKING DISCUSSED LAWS
Article 3.1-Consequences faced by a party for unlawful possession, research and development of nuclear
weapons
11. Calls for a fine of 300% of the budget used for the illegal development to be overseen by and paid
to the committee discussed in Article 2.3;
12. Instructs all member nations of the UN to increase any existing trade tariffs and impose tariffs
with the accused country until it disposes of 60% of its nuclear weaponry as a punishment;
13. Declares that 20% of the country’s military expenditure should be removed for the following
year;
