Statement of Purpose

As I want to create value in existing business opportunities in my country and create myself to the highest level of
success. Since I was young, I've always had this strong wish to run a successful business. My goal is to become a
renowned entrepreneur in my country. I have also been positively inspired by the business cases and success stories of
entrepreneurs around the world, and it is my dream to become one of them. Following these goals in mind, I (Samir
Kader) applied for the business program at Niagara College, got accepted for the program, and was awarded a CAD
3,000 scholarship.

In 2022, I successfully completed my A'Levels in Business and Economics and pursued my first O'Levels in the
Commerce stream in 2019. I have always been interested in entrepreneurship, and with the support of my parents, I have
decided to choose a business program to study. During my A- and O-level studies, which included business-related topics,
I became more interested in a diploma course in the same field. I chose a diploma over a bachelor’s degree because I
wanted to get hands-on and practical experience and improve all the shortcomings of mine. After careful decision and
consideration, I chose a 2-year diploma program in business at Niagara College, Canada. I believe this program will
provide a good mix of vocational foundation and specialization, which I feel is lacking in Bangladesh. The program aligns
perfectly with my learning style, and I believe it will equip me with the necessary skills required in today’s dynamic work
environment. This decision was a milestone for me and took some time to complete. I started preparing to improve my
English and eventually got an overall band score of 6 in the IELTS test. I look forward to embarking on this academic
journey at Niagara College, which I am confident will pave the way for success in the business world.

Choosing to study business in Canada over Bangladesh offers lots of benefits that can substantially enhance my
educational and professional journey. Firstly, Canada is globally recognized for its splendid education system and diverse,
inclusive learning of the environment. Pursuing a business program in Canada could expose me to international
perspectives, fostering a broader understanding of worldwide business dynamics. Moreover, Canada boasts top-ranking
universities and schools, and Niagara College specifically offers a well-rounded curriculum with a mix of business-based
and specialized courses. This diverse approach ensures a comprehensive education that aligns with current industry
demands, providing a competitive edge in the job market. This is especially important for me when I visit Bangladesh.
Even though many people in Bangladesh are interested in pursuing a career in business, it is often difficult for graduates
to get jobs because our education system focuses more on theory and less on skills.

Enrolling in a professional diploma course is a smart move to build a solid foundation of knowledge and skills for the job.
The program includes practical information on various business concepts such as accounting, marketing principles,
communications, and more. Getting a diploma is very popular with employers and gives me an edge in the job search. The
hands-on training and industry exposure will help me get my internship and my job. After completing my degree, I plan to
pursue my further studies in business field, and want to get myself ready for career advancement. The experience I have
gained will be super useful as I continue my graduate studies. In addition, the diploma allows me to explore different
areas professionally, helping me explore my strengths and interests for the BBA. Getting a diploma before a degree makes
for a smoother transition. With a strong understanding of business fundamentals, I can better manage my coursework and
excel academically. Combining a diploma with a bachelor’s degree really enhances my knowledge, skills, and career in
the industry. Niagara College is the perfect place for this educational and career journey in the industry.

After graduation, I am excited to return to Bangladesh and support worthwhile causes. My biggest goal is to turn my
dream of being a successful entrepreneur into reality, and I think Bangladesh is the perfect place for that. The country’s
growing economy and opportunities for foreign degrees make it a promising environment. With the diversity of industries
in Bangladesh, there are many possibilities for entrepreneurs like me. I believe I can work in a management position in
big multinationals like GrameenPhone, Unilever, or BAT after graduation, and they offer good salaries. This position will
obviously help me in my career to become a successful entrepreneur or businessman in the long run. In addition, the
qualities and skills I gain from working for these companies will be key to shaping my path as an entrepreneur. These
experiences will not only enhance my understanding of running a successful business but also teach me important things
about efficiency, intelligent decision-making, and dealing with customers.

My parents, Abdul Kader Dipu and Bipasha Choudhury Trishna, have been very supportive of my academic journey. My
father, the owner of Asian Enterprise, is a dedicated businessman who deposited CAD 20,643.02 in the Savings Plus
Deposit Account and CAD 16,961.56 in the Al-Wadeah Current Deposit Account, showing his active involvement in
finance. He is transparent with his finances and will sponsor my education. Besides, my mother, Bipasha Chowdhury
Trishna, has savings of CAD 31,830.58. Notably, my father has somehow transferred a large sum of money into my
mother’s bank account as part of a carefully planned financial strategy. Together, my parents showed persistent
commitment by donating a combined amount of approximately 69,435.17 CAD, confirming their commitment to my
academic achievement. I am really grateful for the invaluable contributions that show the importance of my education.

My decision to return to Bangladesh after completing my degree is linked to several important reasons. Firstly, I have a
strong connection with my homeland, where my entire family resides, especially my parents, who have consistently
supported me. Being close to them is a priority, given their pivotal role in my life. Additionally, my parents own
significant property in Bangladesh, The amount of immovable property 52,212,484.00 BDT and in CAD 654,619.91 and I
feel a sense of duty to contribute to its management and ensure their well-being. Beyond family considerations, I am eager
to embark on my professional journey in Bangladesh. I feel a real responsibility to be there for my parents and make sure
they are okay. I’m grateful to my parents for paying for me while I study abroad, and, honestly, there’s no super
convincing reason for me to stick around in Canada with no family. I'm all about family; I have this strong feeling that I
need to go back and repay the love and support. Once I finish my degree, I just want to make it clear: I am determined to
go home to my family as soon as possible.

Thank you for taking the time to read my statement of purpose. I hope to receive positive feedback from your end.

Sincerely,
Samir Kader.
