In recent years, my native country Bangladesh has adapted to the trend of globalization and
transformed from a low-tech manufacturing base into a technology-based economy. Growing up in
such a dynamic and quickly developing economy has given me a strong interest in taking part in the
business world of the future.
I have completed my Bachelor of Business Administration (Major- Human Resource Management)
at American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), a school with a reputation for excellence
in terms of its business programs. I have achieved “Summa Cum Laude” -Highest prestigious &
academic award for my outstanding result (CGPA 3.98 out of 4.00) in Bachelors. Although the
rigorous academic environment presented certain challenges, I achieved a great deal and built a
strong foundation of knowledge and experience. I have always been a very brilliant student and my
academic results are also very strong and have got scholarship in most of the semester during my
Bachelor programs. With my growing interest in the business world, my performance in the
university steadily improved over my four years of study. As my interest in these areas developed,
it became clear that the pursuit of postgraduate education in these areas, ideally in Canada, is the
logical next step in my overall development.
After completing my graduation, I started my professional career in BRAC BANK LIMITED which is
one of the most leading commercial banks in Bangladesh. The vision of the bank is to build a
profitable and socially responsible financial institution focused on Market and Business with
Growth potential, thereby assisting BRAC and stakeholders to build a just, enlightened, healthy
democratic and poverty free Bangladesh. It is being a great opportunity for me to work in such a
social development driven bank. However, as it is one of the biggest private banks in the country,
great challenges are faced by Human resource department. The biggest challenge is to recruit
suitable employees for the bank as they are the future of the organization. I am very closely
involved in arranging interviews and providing the new recruits with necessary training. I also run
& monitor the Tele-Learning project, prepare E-Learning material and conduct exam of E-Learning.
In addition to my work in the classroom, I was an active member of campus. I have joined several
organizations since senior high school, in which I acquired a unique blend of experiences. Perhaps
the most memorable and valuable of all was my participation in the AIUB Business club. I was in the
activity section, which organized many activities for the whole Department. I organized a
competition for all private universities to submit a business plan and present their plans by
presenting in front of renowned and respected business persons of Bangladeshi had to plan details
of the event with my partners and ensure steady progress toward our goals. During the process of
conducting these tasks, conflicts inevitably arose. I worked hard, however, to coordinate with other
members of the group and developed contingency plans to address problems as they arose. This
experience proved to be as rewarding as it was challenging, and I expect that the leadership
experience I acquired will be very useful when pursuing further studies.
I have selected Canada as my study destination for few reasons. I have found that Canada is the
most peaceful, safest and democratic country in the world. Canadian universities are emphasized
on practical knowledge & Canada is providing world class education which is accepted by all over
the world, not only that the quality and standard of education is very high and incomparable to
others countries. The value of Canadian degrees, certificates are recognized by all over the world
and. I strongly believe that a Canadian degree from “Vancouver Island University” which is a world
renowned institution will add tremendous values in further development in my career in my home
country.
As the above shows, I am highly motivated and ambitious in pursuing my MBA degree from
“Vancouver Island University”. By studying in your master’s program, I hope to extend my vision
and improve my English proficiency. After completion of your master’s program, I plan to return to
Bangladesh and work for one of the leading multinational firms capable of dealing with a broad
range of people, companies, and financial situations. Your program will enable me to achieve the
goals I have set for myself. I expect to have a long career in this field and benefit a wide range of
companies. In this way, I hope to add to the general development of my country’s economy and
become a leading professional in my field.
Me & my father in law is the sponsor of myself. We both are very solvent and have sufficient funds
and income to bear all rest of my tuition fees, living expenses and all other expenses that will be
incurred during my study period in Canada.
