Subject: Memo report: Result Of Survey on Recycling

Dear Professor,

Here is the report presenting the results of a survey on recycling you requested. The survey
lasts for one month and gets primary data from online response of over one-hundred people.
You will be able to know the underlying drive ofr recycling and respondents’ perception
about recycling in relation to their educational level.

FINDINGS:

As instructed, i made an online form of inquiry and also got secondary data from official
webites and blogs. This report will focus on two major findings: motivational forces behind
act of reccycling and awareness about recycling.

Motivation forces. Over the last five years, the number of people advocating for recycling has
immensely increased, and the findings show that people recycle for diverse reasons. The
dominating driving force belongs to environmental concerns, with surprisingly 94.38% of
respondents recycling for that reason. Also, 66.29% and 46.07% people choose to recycle for
convenience and needed program respectively. These percentages are much higher than the
figure for those who recycle because is is a finanially viable option( 24,72%). Besides, there
is still 13,48% people recycling for economic incentives and 5,62% for family/friend pressure.

Awareness about recycling. Despite some cases of no response, the overall results on this
matter are fairly positive. According to the survey, the majority of participants have sufficient
knowledge about recycling, with the percentage taking up up to 64.04%. 15.73% of
respondents reponded neutral and 12.36% is less knowledgeable. Still, a small proportion of
participants have indepth knowledge about recycling.

Additional survey. I also made an additional reseach about respondents’ educational level.
The results show that most of them have bachelor’s degree and master’degree ( the data are
33.8% and 34.8% respectively). The figures for those having associate degree and being high
school students are the same, with 11.2% each. Some of the participants have PhD degree,
with the proportion making up just 9%.

SUMMARY:
Overall, the concern about environmental problems have greatly pushed people to recycle.
Also, awareness about recycling shows a positive change, in relevance to an increase in the
amount of knowledge the advocates have. I concur that these figures represent a positive
change in community and society. By embracing recycling practices and overcoming
associated challenges, societies can pave the way towards a more sustainable and resilient
future.

If you have any questions related to my survey, please contact me before April 10.

Respectfully submitted,
Tram
